2 UEG20114 Certificate II in Gas Supply Industry Operations Modification History Description Scope This qualification provides competencies for entry level gas supply industry activities in transmission, distribution pipeline and cylinder operations and functions as outline below: Distribution pipeline activities include laying distribution infrastructure (including pipes), developing gas pipeline infrastructure and reading gas meters in industrial, commercial and rural environments, on pipelines, associated facilities and equipment; and control centres. Transmission pipeline activities include right of way preparation, rigging operations, hydrotesting, laying pipelines, operating transmission pipeline construction plant and equipment and conducting minor mechanical maintenance. Gas cylinder operations for domestic and industrial supply of gaseous fuels include checking, testing, maintaining and filling of gaseous fuel cylinders and the storage, handling, loading, transportation and distribution of cylinders in accordance with the relevant ustralian Standards and regulatory requirements This entry level qualification is at ustralia Qualification Framework (QF) level 2 and provides the required knowledge and skills for defined work activities to be carried out under close supervision Pathways Information Licensing/Regulatory Information Entry Requirements Employability Skills Summary pproved Page 2 of 8 Commonwealth of ustralia, 2014 E-Oz Training Standards
3 Packaging Rules Completion requirements The requirements for granting this qualification will be met when competency is demonstrated and achieved for: ll the Core competency standard units to achieve a total weighting of 120 points, defined in the Core Competency Standard Units table below and combination of Elective competency standard units to achieve a total weighting of 2 points in accordance with the Elective Competency Standard Units tables below, resulting in the achievement of overall weighting of 360 points. ll the required pre-requisite competency standard units have been met as required.
