2 Internet Banking Guide Start using our free Internet Banking service to monitor your accounts and perform transactions from the comfort of your home. Our service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In this brochure you will find a guide to help you register and get familiar with our Internet Banking platform. 3 Register for Internet Banking In order to use our Internet Banking service, you first need to register. When you register you will be asked to setup your security details. Step 1 Visit our website ( and click on Register on the top right corner of our home page Step 2 Enter your client number; you will find this on the account opening form and in the All done that we sent you Enter your date of birth Enter the activation code that we sent you by post or handed to you at the branch. The activation code consists of upper case letters and numbers only Step 3 Choose a username between 6 and 13 characters long, made up of numbers and letters. This feature is not case sensitive Choose a 5 number PIN, making sure that you do not put numbers in sequential order. You need to use at least 3 different numbers. Confirm your PIN by re-entering it in the next step Choose a password between 8 and 20 characters long, including at least one upper case letter and one number. Special characters such as commas and exclamation marks can be used. The password is case sensitive. Confirm your password by re-entering it in the next step Choose 3 different security questions from the lists provided. Enter and confirm each answer, which has to be between 3 and 30 characters long. Security answers are not case sensitive register Step 4 Acknowledge our terms and conditions by ticking the box next to I agree with the General Terms and Conditions Click on Register now

4 Log in to your account You will require the details that you set up during registration in order to log in. login Step 1 Visit our website ( and click on Customer login Step 2 Enter your username and last name Step 3 Enter your password Choose the 2 digits of your PIN Enter the answer to the security question shown Click on Sign in Security Tips Do not type your password or PIN on a computer that does not belong to you If possible, do not use someone else s computer that you do not trust to login to any website, especially for very sensitive purposes such as banking. Keep your password and PIN a secret Do not carry your password and PIN in your purse or wallet and if you write them down, keep them somewhere safe, and not near your computer. Make sure no one watches you enter your password and PIN digits. Be wary of anyone asking you to disclose personal details, passwords or PINs. Remember: Mediterranean Bank staff will never ask for your password, PIN, other personal access credentials or any other personal or financial information except to verify your identity when you request our assistance Mediterranean Bank websites will not ask you to enter any of your security details except on web pages that can be accessed directly from the home page of our website If you have any reason to believe that you may have been the victim of a phishing scam or that your Mediterranean Bank account has been used fraudulently, call us immediately on (+356)

5 Outward payments to other banks Step 1 Log in to Internet Banking Select Move money on the left hand side of the menu and click on Outward payments Select currency and enter the amount you wish to transfer Step 2 Select the account you want to make the payment from, using the list in the Make payment from section. The system will only show the accounts where you hold sufficient funds in the currency you indicated Enter the beneficiary account IBAN number. This can be an account in any currency Enter the beneficiary BIC code Enter the name of the beneficiary account holder Enter the beneficiary address and the beneficiary city Select the country of the beneficiary from the list Enter the name of the beneficiary bank Enter any reference you would like to add related to the payment. Special characters are not accepted Step 3 Once you have checked that all the details are correct, click on Make payment. In some cases, particularly for larger payments, you may receive a code by SMS on your mobile phone that you will need to enter in the box provided before confirming the payment To make any changes to your transaction click on Back, make the necessary corrections and click on Next The system will confirm that the payment instructions have been received by the bank. You have the option to print or save a copy of the receipt For security reasons, the bank may limit the amount that can be transferred out of your account/s online outward payments

6 Transfers between accounts and Me3 withdrawal requests Log in to Internet Banking Select Move money on the left hand side of the menu and click on Between own accounts Select the account you wish to debit from the list of accounts available Select the account you wish to transfer the funds to from the list provided Enter the amount you wish to transfer and select the currency Enter any reference you would like to add related to the transfer. Special characters are not accepted Transfers between accounts are executed immediately while Me3 withdrawal requests require a three-month notice period. Transfers to third party accounts with Mediterranean Bank Log in to Internet Banking Select Move money on the left hand side of the menu and click on Another Medbank account Select currency and enter the amount you wish to transfer Select the account you wish to debit from the list of accounts available Enter the account number you wish to transfer the funds to Enter any reference you would like to add related to the payment. Special characters are not accepted Click on Transfer money Confirm that you entered everything correctly and click on Make transfer Open new accounts Log in to Internet Banking Select Open an account on the left hand side and click on the type of account you would like to open Select the currency and your preference regarding withholding tax on interest For Fixed Term Deposits and NOW Accounts, select the term and enter the amount you wish to deposit Review your details and click on Apply now transfers

7 Update your details Whilst logged in to your Internet Banking you have the option to change your login and personal details. To change password or PIN Select Update details on the left hand side and click on Change password or Change PIN Enter the current password/pin Choose a new password/pin and confirm it in the box below Click on Change password or Change PIN To change security questions Select Update details on the left hand side and click on Change security questions Choose three different questions and enter your answers Confirm your answers Select Change security questions To change your personal details Select Update details on the left hand side and click on Change personal details Change requested details Click on Update details security Contact us It is easy to contact us securely with any queries you may have.
