1 Westmoreland Sanctuary Girl Scout Guide Contact: Stephen Sciame Education Director
2 Scout Booking Procedures SCHEDULING PROCEDURES: 1. Programs should be scheduled no more than 3 months in advance. Please check the calendar as some programs are only offered at certain points during the year. 2. One leader should be designated as contact person and do all scheduling for your troop. Please coordinate with the other leaders. 3. Please plan your arrival and departure to allow for the programs to be done in their full allotted time as indicated under each program topic. Most programs last an hour unless otherwise indicated. 4. Please fill out the questionnaire enclosed in preparing to schedule your trip. 5. A non-refundable deposit of the minimum fee is required within two weeks of scheduling your program. PREPARING FOR YOUR TRIP: 1. Allow for no more than 1 adult chaperone to every 5 students. 2. Instruct students on the proper attire for the program. Students should dress for the weather conditions as well as seasonal conditions (mud and snow). It is recommended that students wear long pants and outdoor shoes. No open toe shoes, (sandals, flip flops, etc). 3. Instruct chaperones on proper attire for the program, following same guidelines set for scouts. INCLEMENT WEATHER (Rain): 1. Outdoor programs can still be held in light inclement weather. 2. In moderate to heavy inclement weather, we can accommodate your groups with an alternative indoor program. 3. Programs can be rescheduled, but due to limited availability it is recommended you make every effort to make your scheduled date. INCLEMENT WEATHER (Snow): 1. Every effort will be made to reschedule your program due to a snow cancellation.
3 Program Fees 2015/2016 One program (Thursday-Friday): $7.00 per student *additional materials fees may apply $70.00 minimum per group (non-refundable deposit) One program (Saturday): $10.00 per student *additional materials fees may apply $ minimum per group (non-refundable deposit) Scout Overnights: Group fee-$ pm-8 am-programming, campfire, and dinner included Maximum 25 scouts Pack Meetings: $ *additional materials fees may apply *Additional Materials fees Please add the following materials fee to your per/student fee. Knot Tying - $0.50 Outdoor Cooking (Advanced) - $5.00 Candle making - $1.00 Bird Feeder Workshop - $2.50 Animal Signs and Tracking - $1.00 Bluebird House Construction - $2.50 Native American Workshop - $1.00 Exploring Owls - $2.00 Geology - $1.00 Bat House Construction - $6.00 Outdoor Cooking (Basic) - $2.00 Minimum deposits can be made on the website using PayPal or checks can be mailed to 260 Chestnut Ridge Road Mount Kisco, NY Checks should be made out to Westmoreland Sanctuary.
