3 A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT Dear Honorees: Today, we congratulate you and celebrate your career as a South Carolina State University employee. It was your commitment to the institution that enabled us to achieve our objectives and purpose of a premier higher education institution. The years that you labored were not in vain. Today, we pause to say thank you. You have come to a time in your life that you are able to make choices. Whether you choose to continue in another career path, or quite simply choose to rest, you have reached a milestone in your life that represents time much deserved. It gives me great honor and pleasure to acknowledge and DR. LEONARD A.
