EFM and GEA Product Developments Andy Hurley Senior Product Manager, BT Wholesale Products February
Already Launched in March
EFM Standard and Default Class of Service Pricing 18
EFM Standard and Default Class of Service Pricing Background In August 2014, the new EFM pricing highlighted that there was no difference in the pricing of Etherflows between Premium and Standard or Default Class of Service (CoS) Customers saw no value in taking either Standard or Default option We now have developed a new systems capability to apply different pricing for these CoS types. Launch of New Pricing New pricing: a 12.5% discount for Standard CoS and 10% for Default CoS (from the Premium CoS price) Launch date: 1 st March
What s new in April
BT Wholesale Pricing Tool Developments 21
Summary GEA Availability Checker - in the event that Openreach return a % availability indicator, this will be made available to customers. Add NAD (Gold Address) key, using the same approach to converting postcode to NAD as with EFM to maintain the same customer experience EFM Add new site type NAD key for batch processing and SOAP web services API New version of the customer API (see next slide) Release date: 1st April
EFM Pricing Tool API version 4 API v3 Quick recap: when a customer wants an EFM quote they specify the access type as copper, provide a valid Etherway and Etherflow bandwidth, and Specify their preferred CoS. The API returns the 1,3,5 year Etherway pricing based on the pair calculation and the 1,3,5 year Etherflow pricing based on the input Etherflow bandwidth/cos. API v4 (new) For EFM access via the API customers will be able to stipulate if they would like to receive pricing for all possible bandwidth permutations. Eg instead of a customer asking for EFM pricing for 10 Mbit/s they would receive pricing for 1 to 8 pairs allowing more choice Customers can still choose the existing method of obtaining a quote for a specified bandwidth. N.B. Bandwidth per copper pair will also be available on the output of the Pricing Tool for those customers not taking the API. 23
24 Fixed Price GEA
Special Offer Flat Rate Pricing This special offer price change, from 1st April 2015, for a period of 6 months: Proposes a fixed rate price on GEA covering all bandwidths, geographies and current pricing tariffs Allows BTW to test the market without setting permanent pricing expectations. Example pricing using 5% Multi CoS option (other CoS options are available) 1 Year TCO of 1400, a reduction of 511 or 26% 3 Year TCO price of 3500, a reduction of 1983 or 36% Up to a maximum of 20Mbit/s New pricing will be loaded onto the BTW Pricing Tool for April 1 st
