NanoJapan is a summer research program that places first and second year science and engineering majors into research labs in Japan. Program includes three-week culture and language orientation and seven week nanotechnology research internship. The NSF grant was renewed for another 5 years in May NanoJapan received the 2008 Andrew Heiskell Award for Innovation in Study Abroad. Developed and administered strategic plan for OIP. Supervised study abroad advisors. Consulted with faculty regarding development of tailored international education programs.
