1 Recruitment Notice Water Supplies Department Post-Secondary Student Summer Internship Programme 2014 The following vacancies of Summer Intern are available for application:- Post / (1) Customer Accounts / Group 2 year study in statistic or accounting would be preferable Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel, fast typing speed in both English and Chinese would be an advantage To process, analyse and / or re-organise customer related data To converse and organise documents from paper to electronic files for record (2) Customer Accounts / Group 3 year study in accounting with good command in both English and Chinese Proficiency in Microsoft application, fast typing speed in both English and Chinese, knowledge in SAS application would be an advantage To process, analyse and / or re-organise customer related data To converse and organise documents from paper to electronic files for record (iii) To review procedures on change of consumership (3) Finance Unit year study major in Accounting Knowledge of MS Office Excel and good written English To assist in preparation of monthly General Revenue Account expenditure reports To assist in preparation of financial analysis (4) Asset year study in Geographic Information System (GIS) or related field Knowledge of GIS skills and programming skills would be preferable To extract and organise water mains data with GIS software To perform network tracing analysis with GIS software

(B) Successful candidates will be appointed for six to eight weeks under the summer internship programme. Except otherwise provided, rest days, statutory holidays, sickness days and sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted generally in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance (Cap. 57).

5 How to Apply:- (A) Application form can be downloaded at the Water Supplies Department website. (B) Hong Kong students studying in local post-secondary institutions should apply through the Student Affairs Offices/Career Centres of their respective institutions. You are advised to note the deadlines set by the respective institutions. (C) Students studying in non-local post-secondary institutions should forward the completed application forms together with copies of certificates and academic transcripts to the following address by post, by fax to (852) or on or before the closing date for application. (D) The post number and / concerned should be clearly marked on the top of the application form. (E) An applicant of the internship programme can apply for a maximum of 3 posts. You should also state your priority of preference on the top of the application form. You only need to fill in one set of application form. (F) Students who are selected will normally receive an invitation for interview within 4 weeks from the closing date for application. Those who are not invited for interview by that time may assume their applications are unsuccessful.
