4 OUR SERVICES JHL Imaging Services offers our medical partners a new way to think about diagnostic imaging. JHL Imaging Services provides a Strategic Partnership Program that combines the latest state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging technology with an experienced registered technologist in a unique custom program solution for each of JHL Imaging Services healthcare providers. JHL Imaging Services offers unique cost effective business solutions in an extremely challenging and changing healthcare marketplace. Use of State of the Art C-Arm s with Digital Technology Our Technology Team will consult with the Ambulatory Surgery Center to select and provide the most appropriate model of Fluoroscopic equipment for their specific needs. Most of our C-Arm s have USB ports for downloading images as well as DSA Digital Subtraction Angiography. Increase quality of patient care, improve patient efficiency, and provide solid base for patient growth. Outsourcing of patient services has been a commonplace occurrence as surgical centers continue to seek methods to minimize operating cost in an environment of reduced patient services reimbursement. The labor costs and associated capital expenditures are effectively eliminated through JHL s Strategic Partnership Program with no interference or disruption to the surgery center s or the physician s professional charges for their services. 6 OUR SERVICES CONTINTUED 2... Increased Revenue and Reduced Costs As a JHL Imaging Services Strategic Partner the ASC will experience an improved business cost structure by : Not having to employ a Registered Technologist (RT) JHL Imaging Services can facilitate the absorption * of current on staff RT s. This allows the facility to maintain the services of a qualified RT who already understands the needs of the facility. The facility will save on staffing and benefits costs associated with having to employee the RT. * State and Federal Laws apply Not having a capital expense or other financing to acquire C-Arm Not having annual equipment maintenance costs or contracts Lower administrative costs ASC PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM - PAGE 6
7 OUR SERVICES CONTINTUED 3... COMPELLING ECONOMICS - INSURANCE BILLING Under current CMS regulations an ASC cannot bill for separate Radiology Diagnostic Imaging tests they perform during the ASC's scheduled hours of operation (see 42 CFR Section 416). If a company such as JHL Imaging provides the Radiological Diagnostic Imaging with equipment owned by JHL and provides the technician they can bill separately for their services. This will have absolutely no effect on the ASC s reimbursement for their services rendered. ASC PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM - PAGE 7
8 OUR SERVICES CONTINTUED 4... JHL will bill the patient s medical insurance carrier directly for the fluoroscopy portion of the procedures, so there is no cost to the surgery center for our services. Our billing does not affect either the physicians professional fee or the ASC facility fee. Currently, ASC s are reimbursed little or nothing for fluoroscopy, due to bundling of procedures codes, as well as global fees which do not include a separate fee for fluoroscopy. As an independent x-ray provider, JHL Imaging Services is able to bill and receive reimbursement for fluoroscopy services. Although we do not balance bill patients, we reserve the right to bill the patient for any deductible or co-payment. JHL accepts most insurance plans, workers compensation, Medicare and Medicaid. However, we do not participate with all insurance carriers. A claim will be filed on the patient s behalf. JHL accepts all insurance reimbursements as an in network provider. 9 STRATEGIC ADVANTAGES TO PARTNERING WITH JHL IMAGING SERVICES JHL Imaging Services provides turnkey fluoroscopic x-ray services to Ambulatory Surgery Centers as well as Pain Management Centers and physicians offices. Because JHL Imaging Services is a Mobile IDTF we specifically provide and concentrate on mobile surgical imaging solutions. JHL Imaging Services offers consulting services in order to assist facilities looking to better service their fluoroscopic needs. These consulting services address not only the technical applications of the fluoroscopic equipment, but also focus on the clinical applications of the procedures which utilize fluoroscopy. JHL s consultations allow facilities to appropriately identify whether or not a contracted fluoroscopic service could better service their needs. Our technologist and clinical application specialists have extensive experience in the fluoroscopic arena and are able to effectively demonstrate the mechanisms pertaining to the technical as well as clinical applications. JHL will provide on going training and technical support for the equipment.
