3 SKEMA SCHOLARSHIPS Bachelor- level merit awards FRENCH AND INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS Programme description: SKEMA Business School offers one bachelor degree programme: Bachelor in Global Management Type of grant: Study Amount: Up to 1800 per year Duration: Up to 1 year, renewable for the duration of the student's programme in France Criteria: Academic results, letter of motivation, level of English, work experience. Grant funded by: SKEMA Business School. Applying: On the online application tick the box entitled Merit Scholarship Bachelor Sport Excellence awards FRENCH AND INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS Students at SKEMA Bachelors who have been granted the status of Athlete Students can receive a Sports Scholarship of up to 1800 per year. 4 Masters of Science Excellence Scholarships INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS SKEMA Business School offers scholarships to attract bright and talented students and help them to realise their full potential and achieve their personal and professional goals. SKEMA offers scholarships amounting to 150,000 this year, through a donation given by the SKEMA Alumni Association. Eligibility: all admitted international applicants can apply for this scholarship regardless of nationality. Application deadline: within 2 weeks of admission. Selection criteria: the Scholarships Jury decision will be based on 4 criteria: academic excellence the overall strength of the application the results of the selection interview the GMAT or GRE or TAGE MAGE score Amount of award: the amount of the scholarship varies from 3,000 to 7,000 of the tuition fee and is deducted from the successful candidate s last tuition fee payment. In the case of a 2 year programme the scholarship is calculated pro rata basis. Application: admitted international students must make an application by e- mail to The application must be accompanied by a cover letter structured in 3 paragraphs: 1. The excellence of your academic background (pointing out your academic achievements: eg. ranking, honours, GPA etc.). 2. 5 SKEMA BUSINESS SCHOOL FULL TUITION SCHOLARSHIPS FOR OUTSTANDING AND TALENTED STUDENTS INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS OVERVIEW: SKEMA Business School offers 3 full tuition fee scholarships to exceptionally well- qualified international students. These merit- based scholarships are funded through the generous support of the Alumni Association and concern students that have successful in their application and have been offered a place for the Fall 2015 intake. Current SKEMA Business School students are not eligible to apply. These scholarships are only available to self- funded students. Students who are in receipt of a full funding from a sponsorship body such as their home country s government or a private organization are not eligible to apply. Scholarships are to be used for entry in academic year 2015/2016 only and cannot be used for 2016/2017 intake. If you are awarded a scholarship and wish to defer your enrollment, you will need to re- apply in the following year. 1. SCHOLARSHIP FOR AN OUTSTANDING UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT Scholarship value: 8,750 euros covering the 1st year tuition fee of the Bachelor in Global Management. This is a nonrenewable, one- time award. Eligibility criteria: 1. All international admitted students can apply 2. Excellent academic performance in high school (> 80% grade average) 3. Excellent command of English. Proof of proficiency must be provided (TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS, etc ) 4. SCHOLARSHIP FOR AN OUTSTANDING GRADUATE STUDENT Scholarship value: The scholarship includes full tuition fee for one or two academic years of the master course (Master in Management Grande Ecole programme, MS or MSc). 5

6 Eligibility criteria: 1. All international admitted students can apply 2. Excellent academic performance during the undergraduate studies (> 80% grade average) 3. A GMAT (> 650/800) or GRE (320/340) or TAGE MAGE (>320/600) score must be provided 4. SCHOLARSHIP FOR AN OUTSTANDING GRADUATE STUDENT APPLYING TO DIGITAL RELATED PROGRAMMES Scholarship value: The scholarship includes full tuition fee for one or two academic years of the master course (MSc Digital Marketing or MSc Digital Business). Eligibility criteria: 1..All international admitted students in the MSc in Digital Marketing or MSc in Digital Business can apply. 2. Excellent academic performance during the undergraduate studies (> 80%). 3. A GMAT (> 650/800) or GRE (320/340) or TAGE MAGE (>320/600) score must be provided. 4. Students who have prior work experience in digital area will be favoured, as well as students whose clear and concise understanding of their career goals line up with the mission of the master program in digital marketing or in digital business. 7 SCHOLARSHIPS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS AWARDED BY THE FRENCH GOVERNMENT Need- based grants from the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research BACHELOR AND MASTERS FRENCH AND INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS Programme description The need- based grants offered by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research are intended primarily for French students, but some classes of foreigners may also be eligible: Students who are nationals of a member country of the European Union or the European Economic Space and who previously held a permanent job in France (full or part time) or whose parents or legal guardian earned income in France. This restriction does not apply if the student can demonstrate a sufficient degree of integration into French society (as measured, for example, by length of stay, time spent in French schools, or family ties in France. The latter condition is not required if the student can prove that he or she has lived continuously in France for 5 years. International students living in France for at least 2 years and whose home for tax purposes (for dependent students, the home of the student's mother, father, or legal guardian) has been France for at least 2 years. Andorran students who attended French schools may also apply. Students who are refugees or stateless persons as demonstrated by a refugee card or residency permit showing refugee status Additional assistance may be available to recipients of need- based grants: Merit aid may be provided to grantees who are enrolled in an institution or program authorized to accept scholarship students and who graduated with honors from secondary school (as indicated by a grade of très bien on their Baccalauréat or equivalent (eg. IB Diploma, High School Diploma). With institutional recommendation, merit aid may also be given to students in master's programs who completed their licence with honors International mobility (travel) grants are available for students who choose to study or complete an internship abroad as part of their postsecondary program Under some circumstances, arrangements can be made to have grant payments continue during the long summer vacation Type of grant: Study Value/Benefits: Aid is granted as a function of three criteria: The income of the student's household The number of children in the household, and the number enrolled in higher education 7

8 The distance between the student's home and educational institution Grant amounts vary depending on these criteria. An aid calculator is available on the CNOUS Web site. Grantees are exempted from tuition and fees and are not required to pay for their membership in the national student health insurance scheme. Duration: Grants are made for the academic year (October through June) Failure to attend class or take examinations will result in a suspension of grant payments and a requirement to repay sums already received. Number of grants: Approximately 500,000 grants are made each year to French and non- French students. Grant funded by: French government Application: Prospective applicants should contact the regional student-service agency (CROUS) serving the institution in which they are enrolled. Contact information for the regional agencies can be found on the Web site of the national student-service agency (CNOUS) Eiffel master's grants from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs MASTERS INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS Program description The program of Eiffel excellence grants, launched in January 1999 by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is designed to support the international student recruitment efforts of French Institutions of Higher Education. In 2005 the program was expanded to include the Eiffel doctoral program, which provides research support to highly qualified doctoral candidates from outside France. The objectives of this grant program are to train, in France's postsecondary institutions, future world leaders in three priority areas (science, economics and management, and law and political science) and to encourage applications from students from emerging countries in Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and the new member states of the European Union. The new doctoral program also invites applicants from industrialized countries. All applications must be submitted by French institutions of higher learning. Applications are forwarded to Campus France, the program administrator. The original Eiffel program and the Eiffel doctoral program are publicized through a single call for proposals. The deadline for M.Sc students wishing to apply for the Eiffel Scholarship is November 15th Type of grant: Study 8

9 In addition to the monthly stipend, grantees receive the following additional benefits: travel, health insurance, and a cultural program. Grantees may also be eligible for housing assistance and a program of language training preceding their master's program. Duration: Eiffel master's grants are awarded for a period sufficient to allow the grantee to complete the programme for which the grant is obtained, provided the student has satisfied all academic conditions of the programme). Up to 2 months of language training may be added for non- French- speaking students at the request of the host institution. The overall length of the programme (including all required internships in France or abroad) must be clearly indicated by the host institution in the application file. Number of grants: Approximately 400 new grants are made each year. Grant funded by: French government Application: g/en#app=faac&193- si=1 Major merit grants from AEFE and the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs BACHELOR AND MASTERS FRENCH AND INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS Program description: Since September 2007, the merit grant funds provided by the Agency for the Teaching of French Abroad (AEFE, agence pour l'enseignement du français à l'étranger) have been combined with Major programme funds from the French foreign ministry for Major grants. AEFE manages the combined fund. Deadlines, application instructions, and information on the selection of grantees are sent to French diplomatic posts and overseas schools at the end of February each year. Type of grant: Study Value/Benefits: Depending on the applicant's family income and field of study, the services available from the program may include a monthly stipend plus health and medical coverage, student housing from CNOUS, annual 9

10 tuition, registration and travel expenses related to entrance examinations, the cost of the ANAEM tax assessed upon arrival in France, round- trip travel from the grantee's home country to the grantee's study site in France. Recipients of social coverage grants receive health and medical coverage, student housing from CNOUS, and reimbursement of the ANAEM tax. Number of grants: Approximately 150 new grants are made each academic year. The purpose of the program is to enable highly motivated secondary- school graduates facing financial difficulties to obtain a post- secondary degree and realize their career ambitions. Program description: The Francis Bouygues corporate foundation awards approximately 30 grants each year to: honors graduates of French secondary schools (lycées polyvalents, lycées d'enseignement général et technologique) foreign graduates of French secondary schools abroad secondary- school graduates who have earned a 1- or 2- year postsecondary credential and wish to continue for another degree. Grants are made to recipients upon their graduation from secondary school or in the course of postsecondary study. The Francis Bouygues corporate foundation endeavors to maintain contact with its grant recipients by assigning each a mentor from one of the companies of the Bouygues group. The foundation is committed to 10

11 tracking grantees' progress and achievements through continuous and individualized attention. Grantees may also benefit from the support and assistance of members of the foundation's board of directors. Type of grant: Study Duration: The grant is designed to supplement the recipient's personal resources over the period of his or her postsecondary education typically 4 to 6 years. Each year, the Francis Bouygues corporate foundation decides whether or not to renew each recipient's grant in light of their attendance record, behavior, and academic performance. 12 SCHOLARSHIPS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS AWARDED BY FRENCH EMBASSIES WORLDWIDE French Government grants from the French Embassy in POLAND for POLISH students MASTERS Programme description: All study fields are eligible. Applicants should have the required level to study in the selected courses and have an adequate knowledge of the course's language (French, English...) Priority will be given to students living in Poland when applying. At the date of application, applicants should not have spent more than 12 months studying in France over the last 5 years. Type of grant: Study ADDITIONAL SERVICES: - Registration and tuition fees are included in the grant - Health and social security are included in the grant - The grant provides help for finding accommodation (prior claim to universities halls of residence). If you choose this type of housing, a part of your scholarship (maximum 34%) will be cut for covering the expenses of your accommodation. If you wish to find your own accommodation, you can benefit from an indemnity for housing - Indemnity for buying a computer - Travel fees are NOT included Duration: 1 to 10 months from September to June maximum. If the chosen course includes a traineeship, the jury will decide the overall duration of the grant. 13 Franco- British "Entente Cordiale Scholarships" for BRITISH students BACHELOR AND MASTERS Managed by the Cultural Department of the French Embassy in London, the "Entente Cordiale Scholarships" concern British students and researchers who wish to pursue studies or research in a French institution of higher education or improve their language skills. 14 French Government grants from the French Embassy in AFGHANISTAN for AFGHAN students BACHELOR AND MASTERS Duration: The scholarships are allocated for the duration of the diploma: Bachelor (four years), Master degree (two years). The scholarship is suspended if the student does not succeed in their studies. Subject areas: Economics, Management, Business Administration Application: The candidates must fill the official form and submit it to the French Embassy in Kabul before the end of December. This application form can be collected at the guards' station of the French Embassy in Kabul, at the French department of the University of Kabul and at the French Cultural Center. 15 French Government grants from the French Embassy in UKRAINE for UKRANIAN students MASTERS The French- Ukrainian Center for Higher Education and Science Cooperation manages these grants of 767 per month. Programme description A 10 month grant allowing graduates of a Ukrainian University (bakalavr / specialist / magister) to follow a postgraduate program (level master 2) in France Type of grant: Study Value/Benefits A stipend per month. 16 French Government grants from the French Embassy in CAMBODIA for CAMBODIAN students MASTERS The Embassy of France in Cambodia offers scholarship to Cambodian students willing to follow studies in France, at the level of Master or Doctorate in the following fields of studies: Economics, Tourism. Grant holders will be provided with:- a living allocation depending on the level of studies- a round trip tuition fee exoneration social security Grant holder student statute facilitating the access to students public accommodation Scholarships are divided into three different categories of allowance, granted to the student social security cover scholarship it covers tuition and social security fees during the stay in France. The social security cover scholarship and the minimum rate scholarship do not allow students to live and study in France by themselves. A co- funding will be necessary, with the help of the student's family or with a complementary scholarship from a private company, another school or public institution. 30 scholarships per year are available. 20 Excellence Grant offered by the Embassy of France in INDIA for INDIAN students MASTERS Each year 100 scholarships are granted to Indian students having obtained an admission in high quality French higher education institutes. Those who hold a Bachelor degree or are in the third year of their studies are preferred if they apply for Masters level courses in France. Some who seek to pursue a semester of exchange under structured student mobility programmes or those who go for high quality internships in the framework of their studies are also favoured. These instruments of financial aid fall under three distinct categories: Internship scholarships for engineering students (duration of 3 to 4 months) Structured exchange programme scholarships ( duration of 4 to 10 months) Scholarship for courses of long duration (from up to 10 months, renewable for next academic year. 21 LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS AND FINANCIAL AID FOR FRENCH AND INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS MED CAP ACCUEL Scholarships and Grants from the Provence Alpes Cote d Azur Region (PACA) MASTERS This enables students to apply for financial assistance if they are study at one of the higher education institutions on the Cote d Azur.
