LOUIS SCHEDULE OF CLASSES FALL SEMESTER, 2015 PRE-REGISTRATION INFORMATION April 6, 2015 Begins pre-registration by appointment for all eligible currently enrolled UM-St. Louis students, undergraduate and graduate, for FALL SEMESTER, Currently enrolled students will be sent their pre-registration appointment time via their University Account. April 20, 2015 Begins registration for all students newly admitted or readmitted. Students new to campus for FALL SEMESTER, 2015 must be advised prior to registering for classes. Registration information will be sent via the official University Account. Fall Semester begins with the first day of class. It is expected that you plan your schedule to attend the first class and all scheduled classes. CALENDAR: FALL SEMESTER, 2015 Beginning the first day of the term there will be a $50.00 late registration fee assessed for students who have not previously registered for the FALL 2015 term. AUGUST 24 Monday: Classes begin 8:00 am 30 Sunday: Last day student may enroll (enter a course for credit). Last day Registrar s Office will automatically move students from the wait list to open sections. SEPTEMBER 07 Monday: Labor Day Holiday 08 Tuesday: Classes resume at 8:00 am 21 Monday: Last day to drop a course or withdraw from school without receiving a grade. Last day any student may place a course on Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory basis. OCTOBER 19 Monday: Mid Semester. NOVEMBER 16 Monday: Last day a student may drop a course. Instructor s approval is required. A grade of EX or F will be assigned. Last day a student may withdraw from school. Instructors and Dean s approvals are required. Grades of EX or F will be assigned for each course. 21 Saturday: Fall Break (Thanksgiving Holiday) begins at 5:00 pm 30 Monday: Classes resume 8:00 am DECEMBER 12 Saturday: Classes end 5:00 p.m. 14 Monday: Final examinations begin 19 Saturday: Fall Semester closes, end of day. 19 Saturday: Commencement.. Students are urged to enroll upon admission, do not wait... Students entering courses after the first day of classes are responsible for ALL assigned course work. Please note: Classes may have progressed to the point where completing all assigned work may be difficult. Students may wish to contact the instructor prior to enrolling... Undergraduate students may not enroll for more than eighteen (18) credit hours without dean s approval... Graduate students may not enroll for more than thirteen (13) credit hours without approval by the Graduate School.

3 SCHEDULE OF FINAL EXAMINATIONS - FALL SEMESTER, 2015 Final examinations for Fall Semester, 2015 will be administered Saturday, December 12 through Friday, December 18, Courses which are offered for five hours of credit, for which three-hour exams are preferred, may have tests at either, or both, the two-hour periods assigned in the schedule. Topics include the bridal portrait, location lighting, candid photography, location portraits, special event photography, marketing and sales, and working with vendors and clientele. Students should be proficient in working with a Digital SLR camera, hand held light meter, and on-camera flash. Basic studio equipment will be provided, though students will need to supply some personal equipment and supplies.
