RUMORS: FEMA is NOT distributing cash cards or food stamps to victims of Hurricane Sandy. o FEMA's Individuals and Households Program does not provide food assistance or a $300 food voucher. o If you are a survivor in a declared county and have losses other than food, including damage to your home, personal property, or vehicle, you can apply for assistance online or on the phone (see above). US Environmental Protection Agency: US EPA is assisting FEMA in Hurricane Sandy Response ONLINE: EPA s hurricane hotline: For alerts, sign up at: DISASTER RELIEF JOB OPPORTUNITIES Passaic 's One Stop Career $9/hour up to 12-hour shifts, weekly pay Work up to 7 days/week Accepting applications at 16 Belmont Ave. in Paterson or call MUST HAVE 2 FORMS OF ID Transportation to job sites will be provided VOLUNTEERING Habitat Bergen Habitat Bergen participating in the Hurricane Relief Charity Event in Moonachie, NJ to raise funds and distribute supplies to Bergen victims devastated by Sandy.
