2 Switch of Regular Payments Arrangements What does this form do? This is the form you need to switch to a bank that puts People first! It gives Heritage authority to request a list of regular payments from your old bank or financial institution. We ll then get in touch with them and begin the process of helping you switch everything over simple! What are regular payments? Regular payments include direct debit payments (e.g. a monthly insurance payment) and direct credit payments (e.g. your weekly salary) that have been created under arrangement between yourself and another party. When do I need to fill out this form? If you want to switch your direct debit and direct credit payments to a new or existing Heritage Bank account. 1. Customer request and authority to disclose Regular Payments List I/we consent to Heritage Bank obtaining a Regular Payments List from payments to and from my/our account(s) held with showing regular described in the Schedule. I/we consent to compiling a Regular Payments List for the account(s) described in the Schedule, and disclosing the list to Heritage Bank. I/we understand and acknowledge that: 1. The Regular Payments List contains my/our personal information; 2. I am/we are authorised to operate the accounts described in the Schedule; and 3. 3 Switch to Heritage FAQs What is the Heritage Bank and Football Brisbane Alliance? Heritage bank s alliance with Football Brisbane is just one of the ways we give back to local communities. The partnership makes Football Brisbane family members eligible to receive many special offers» on Heritage products, and at the same time helps you to raise money for your local football club. And don t forget, during July and August we ll credit $50^ into your account when you switch to Heritage. What is on the list of regular payments? The list of regular payments will include regular debits and credits to and from your personal bank accounts. Regular payments include periodical payments you make (e.g. to an insurance company), recurring payments you receive (such as a salary) and pay anyone payments made using online banking services (such as rent, or mortgage repayments although we can not actually switch over periodic payments or payments which you have setup via online banking, you will have to set those up yourself). Can I switch online? Yes. You can download all the forms from heritage.com.au and them back to but to open a bank account you will need to provide us with enough identification to prove who you are by visiting a Heritage Branch or an Australia Post outlet. Why is the process of switching banks now so much easier than before? Before July 1, 2012, switching accounts to a new bank was a complex process. First you had to open an account at the new bank. Then you had to work out what regular payments you had going in and out of your account. Then you had to contact all the organisations yourself to inform them of your new bank, BSB and account numbers. Now, once you have opened an account, we do all the hard work for you. We will arrange to have your direct payments switched over, so you don t have to go through that hassle. How easy is it to switch banks now? It s extremely easy. All you need to do is open an account and fill out a single form which tells your old bank to give Heritage a list of your regular payments. We give the form to your old bank (so you do not even have to talk to them) and they give us the list back within five days. We then confirm which payments you want to switch over, obtain your consent and begin the process. Is there anything I have to do myself, other than filling out the switch form? The switching process is designed so that you should not have to do too much yourself, but there are a few things we highly recommend you do yourself: You should definitely review the list of regular payments we receive from your old bank to ensure you know which payments are being switched (there might be some you want to cancel, and there might be payments we do not get told about). You will need to sign a form confirming which payments you want to switch over as well. You should definitely provide your new bank account details to whoever pays your wages or provides you with income which you depend on to live. How long will the switching process take? The whole process should take no more than a few weeks for everything to get sorted, but some organisations require more notice than others, so a switching notice might not take effect until their next billing cycle, which could mean they do not start debiting or crediting your new bank account for a month or more.

4 Some important warnings and other things you need to know The new switching system is a huge help to those wanting to switch banks, but it is not perfect and the process of switching payments to Heritage is dependant on other organisations you will actually be relying on the banks that process your regular payments on behalf of the organisations you pay or receive money from to switch your payments over. Here are some very important facts to be aware of: While your old bank should make every effort to ensure completeness, the regular payments list Heritage receives may not be complete (e.g. it may not include all regular or one-off payments). Some cancelled arrangements may appear on the list. It may take some time for word of your new bank account to reach the organisations on the list. Some organisations require notice for change of bank details well in advance of the billing date if so, a switching notice given under this arrangement may not take effect until the next billing cycle. You should retain an adequate balance in your old bank account until you are confident that all requested regular payments have been transferred to your new account. The switching service applies only to direct debit arrangements and direct credit arrangements and not to periodical payments, BPAY payments, Pay Anyone payments, debit card and credit card arrangements. You are responsible for switching your own internet banking Pay Anyone payments by re entering your Pay Anyone payments into your new Heritage online banking account. The switching process an overview of what happens when you switch to Heritage Bank Meet Mary. Mary currently has an account with B.I.G. Bank and direct debits setup from her B.I.G. Bank account to pay C.A.R. Insurance and R.E.N.T. Real Estate each month. Mary wants to switch to Heritage Bank here is what will happen. The bit Mary does Mary opens a new account with Heritage, either online or in a Heritage branch. Mary confirms her identity, either in a Heritage branch or at an Australia Post outlet. Mary completes a red Regular Payments Switch form. The bit we help with Heritage sends the Regular Payments Switch form to B.I.G. Bank. B.I.G. Bank sends Heritage back a list of all Mary s regular payments. Heritage contacts Mary to confirm which payments she wants to switch over. She decides she wants to keep paying C.A.R. Insurance, but not R.E.N.T. Real Estate because she is getting a new home loan from Heritage and she will not need to pay R.E.N.T. Real Estate anymore. Mary signs a green Notice of Variation of Account Details form and an orange Direct Debit Cancellation Request form. The bit the other banks do Heritage then contacts the bank C.A.R. Insurance banks with and tells them to take payments out of Mary s new Heritage Bank Account. Heritage also contacts the bank R.E.N.T. Real Estate banks with and tells them to stop taking payments from Mary. C.A.R. Insurance s bank tells C.A.R. Insurance that Mary has changed her payment details and now banks with Heritage. R.E.N.T. Real Estate s bank contacts R.E.N.T. Real Estate and tells them that Mary has stopped making regular direct payments from her old bank account. Mary will now need to make sure she pays any remaining payments to R.E.N.T. Real Estate directly. heritage.com.au facebook.com/heritage
