Needless to say we went from nervous to very nervous, but our five year adventure with JAN-PRO has been very rewarding and exciting. I had spent several years in the Electronic and Semiconductor industry in Silicon Valley, California, prior to joining JAN-PRO. During my research, which lasted over a year, I looked for a business with a similar business model. Our business broker then sent us a financials packet on JAN-PRO of Raleigh, NC. Previously we had reviewed the financials for several different businesses. After researching the commercial cleaning industry, reviewing the business model presented by JAN-PRO, and looking at the financials from the Raleigh office, I decided this would be a suitable match for my skill set and would allow for an emphasis on quality service and customer care. I literally left my previous company (I had sold my share of the business to my partner) on a Friday evening and walked into JAN-PRO of Raleigh the following Monday, and it was business as usual for me. This has been one of the best business decisions of my career. STEP 1 Initial Information Review At our initial meeting you will have the chance to gain an overview perspective of the JAN-PRO opportunity and to be part of an open exchange of questions and answers by all parties. STEP 2 UFOC Review If we decide to move forward together we will share a copy of the JAN-PRO UFOC (Uniform Franchise Offering Circular), which we are required by law to make available. STEP 3 Financial Requirements At this point we will review with you plans for the adequate funding of your JAN-PRO venture, including franchise fee, start-up capital and funding initial cash flow requirements. We can also discuss partial financing of these costs. STEP 4 Orientation Meeting This involves a scheduled visit to JAN-PRO s corporate headquarters. This visit is your hands-on opportunity to ask additional questions and discuss the timing of your training and start-up plans. STEP 5 Signing the Agreement If both sides decide to move forward we then prepare the Master Franchise Agreement for your signature, making you an official JAN-PRO Master Franchise Owner in an exclusive territory. STEP 6 Training Time An intensive training program is scheduled for you, combining corporate office, regional office and training at your own start-up facility. I had spent several years in the Electronic and Semiconductor industry in Silicon Valley, California, prior to joining JAN-PRO. During my research, which lasted over a year, I looked for a business with a similar business model. Our business broker then sent us a financials packet on JAN-PRO of Raleigh, NC. Previously we had reviewed the financials for several different businesses.
