1 Bruce Highway (Cooroy to Curra) Section A (Cooroy southern interchange to Sankeys Road) Industry Briefing - 13 February 2013 Bruce Highway Upgrade (Cooroy to Curra) The Bruce Highway Upgrade (Cooroy to Curra) project is a 61 km upgrade of the existing highway and will be constructed in four sections: (A) Cooroy southern interchange to Sankeys Road (B) Sankeys Road to Traveston Road (C) Traveston Road to Keefton Road (D) Keefton Road to Curra Section A Cooroy southern interchange to Sankeys Road (approx. 13 km) Staged delivery Construction will be completed in the following stages: Section B Sankeys Road to Traveston Road (approx. 11 km) Section C Traveston Road to Keefton Road (approx. 11 km) Section D Keefton Road to Curra, the Gympie bypass (approx. 26 km) Construction Construction Planning Preliminary Evaluation Start Complete Start Completed B.C. by end 2013 Detailed Design D.D. by end 2016 P.E. by end 2015 Planning & Design To be confirmed Construction Construction To be confirmed To be confirmed 1
