15 ssessle work ws ville t the time of deth to enle the exmining ord to recommend n wrd B CREDIT B1 LEARNING AND CREDIT B1.1 Credit is mens of specifying nd quntifying chievement of ssessed lerning with reference to designted lerning outcomes B1.2 Stndrd credit is wrded for the chievement of ssessed lerning t specified level B1.3 Plcement credit is wrded for the completion nd chievement of pss in n pproved plcement, period of work experience or lnguge study rod s defined in the requirements of specific wrd. Plcement credit defines the mount of credit chieved, ut does not define level B1.4 The minimum credit requirements for eligiility for University wrd refer to stndrd credit. Plcement credit my not contriute to or e sustituted for stndrd credit for the purpose of stisfying the required minimum credit totl for n wrd B2 CREDIT TARIFF B2.1 The credit triff is the numer of hours on verge student is expected to study to chieve specified lerning outcomes t specified level. This notionl study time includes stff/student contct, independent study, privte study, time spent in professionl prctice where required, revision nd completion of ssessment requirements B2.2 Under the University s credit triff 1 credit involves 10 hours of notionl study time B2.3 The totl notionl study hours for University wrd is determined y the credit requirements for tht wrd B2.4 The minimum credit size of module within the University Modulr Frmework is 10 credits B2.5 The mximum credit size of module is normlly 60 credits. Normlly only project or disserttion modules re pproved t the vlue of 60 credits. For wrds within the University Modulr Frmework, exceptions to the mximum re permitted only where justifiction is ccepted t vlidtion B2.6 Su-division of lerning into units of less thn 10 credits my exceptionlly e pproved for ssessed lerning undertken outside the University Modulr Frmework B3 CREDIT LEVEL B3.1 A credit level is n indictor of the reltive demnd, complexity nd depth of lerning nd of the utonomy expected of the lerner. A module/unit of study shll e defined s eing t specified level B3.2 Levels re differentited y lerning outcomes.
