5 1. Share Your Expertise What s so special about you? The whole premise of marketing is to share with your customers, clients, vendors and the like what s special, unique and relevant about you. How can you help them? In other words, why should they call you, think about you or refer you? Additionally, how much time do you have to convince them? It s not likely that you can consistently deliver, the why s in the 3 minutes you get to have someone s full attention. marketing helps you to deliver your particular business expertise in a way that tells the recipient how you can help them.

6 2. Increase Your Reach marketing catches the eye. When it s done right, it inspires action. For some, that might mean getting someone to buy, sell, respond and/or hopefully to share your content. If you received an that you found helpful, you re likely to share that in your various networks to help someone else. That s a potential new sign up for you and your business. Because that is being shared by a friend and or business colleague, it is likely to be read.

7 3. Inspire Feedback No one wants to hear from a talking head all of the time. Tailor your marketing campaigns to inspire feedback. Ask your customers how they like the company s new logo; or a new product offer; direction; or encourage them to ask questions. This can be used with all types of professional service industries like lawyers, restaurants and organizations like this one.

8 4. Relevancy & Relationship - Is it relevant? Keep it short and simple (5-8 words). You want to incorporate the most compelling and immediate benefit for someone to open your . Question: Subject Line and From Line. Which of the two is the most important? Answer: THE FROM LINE: According to Doublick, 60% of consumers say the from line most often determines whether they open and or delete it. 30% open from the subject line. 9 5. Testimonials Share the stories and experiences of those pleased with your product or services. Here s an example. Jacque Peppel invites a business owner to speak to her Kiwanis Club one Wednesday afternoon. She is so thoroughly impressed and awed by the jewels of wisdom that falls from this speaker s mouth, that after a hearty applause she is driven to offer a positive testimonial of the presentation. What could that presenter do with that feedback? She could share it.
