3 C O N S E N T A G E N D A CHERRY CREEK SCHOOL DISTRICT Resolution # Approval of Designated Location, Posting of Meeting Notices Superintendent It is the administration s recommendation that the approve the designation of the lobby of the Educational Services Center, 4700 S. Yosemite St., Greenwood Village, Colorado, for posting notices of any local public body of the District including meetings of the Board of Education, Board-appointed committees, and any meetings of the, school administration personnel, or a combination thereof, who are involved in a meeting with a representative of employees at which a collective bargaining agreement is discussed, as defined by C.R.S (1)(a)(II). Designation of the place where notices will be posted is required by C.R.S (2)(c) (Open Meetings Law or Colorado Sunshine Law). HCB/vsd 1 P age

The Cherry Creek School District receives the per diem costs for students from other districts who are being educated within our district. 8 Resolution # Approval of Matters Relating to Classified Personnel Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources It is the administration s recommendation that the approve matters relating to classified personnel as contained on pages three through five of the Board Action section, copies of which shall be affixed to the official minutes set out therein. 9 Resolution # Approval of Bid, Arapahoe Roofing and Sheet Metal, Inc., Roof Replacement General Contractor, Arrowhead Elementary School Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent of Educational Support Services It is the administration s recommendation that the approve the qualified low bid of Arapahoe Roofing and Sheet Metal, Inc. to supply materials and labor for the Arrowhead Elementary roof replacement project for a cost of $672,996. The District evaluates all facility roofs on a yearly basis and repairs them when possible. Roofs are expected to last approximately fifteen (15) years, depending on weather and deterioration caused by ultraviolet rays. The current roofs on this building are twenty-five plus (25) years old and replacement is necessary. The 2012 Bond Fund will be used for this expenditure which is within the planned budget. Alternatives Considered: Bids were requested from Alpine Roofing Company, Inc.; Arapahoe Roofing and Sheet Metal, Inc.; B&M Roofing of Colorado, Inc.; D&D Roofing, Inc.; and Superior Roofing, Inc. Arapahoe Roofing and Sheet Metal, Inc. submitted the qualified low bid. HCB/SLG/RKH/cae 7 P age
10 Resolution # Approval of Bid, Bassett & Associates, Inc., Phase III Renovation Project General Contractor, Holly Ridge Primary School Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent of Educational Support Services It is the administration s recommendation that the approve the qualified low bid of Bassett & Associates, Inc. as the general contractor for the Holly Ridge Primary School phase III renovation project for a cost of $426,200. Holly Ridge Primary School will receive new carpeting in corridors and classrooms. New toilet stall partitions and flooring will be installed in restrooms and the existing building wall vinyl will be removed and the walls repainted. Additionally, the existing laminate window sills will be replaced with new solid surface sills due to deterioration. The 2012 Bond Fund will be used for this expenditure and it is within the planned budget. Alternatives Considered: Bid proposals were received from Bassett & Associates, Inc.; M.A. Meyer Construction, Inc.; SCS, Inc.; and Ward Construction Company. Bassett & Associates, Inc. submitted the qualified low bid. HCB/SLG/RKH/cae 8 P age
11 Resolution # CHERRY CREEK SCHOOL DISTRICT Approval and Ratification of Bid, Thomas B. Mansfield Company, Heating Water Boiler Supplier, Cherry Hills Village Elementary School Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent of Educational Support Services It is the administration s recommendation that the approve and ratify the qualified low bid of Thomas B. Mansfield Company as the supplier for the Cherry Hills Village Elementary School heating water boiler replacement project for a cost of $57,474. The current heating water boilers were installed during the 2000 renovation project. They have deteriorated and become unreliable and costly to maintain. The existing boilers have been completely rebuilt twice since being installed and are failing again. The new boilers are high efficiency condensing boilers which will reduce energy usage and maintenance costs. The Maintenance General Fund will be used for this expenditure. Alternatives Considered: Bid proposals were received from Taft Engineering, Inc.; Shamrock Sales, Inc.; and Thomas B. Mansfield Company. Thomas B. Mansfield Company submitted the qualified low bid. 12 Resolution # CHERRY CREEK SCHOOL DISTRICT Approval of Purchase, Lewan & Associates, Inc., Annual Maintenance and Support Services for the VMWare Virtual Server Infrastructure, Districtwide Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent of Educational Support Services It is the administration s recommendation that the approve the purchase of annual maintenance and support for the District s VMWare virtual server infrastructure from Lewan & Associates, Inc. in the amount of $77,893 for the fiscal year. This purchase is a consolidation of eleven (11) separate support contracts with VMWare. The District saves over $200,000 per year using VMWare technologies, primarily in electrical power and cooling requirement reductions, while enhancing disaster recovery capacity. Pricing was negotiated directly with VMWare. As a single source vendor, VMWare provides standard pricing and delivers product through preferred reseller accounts. Lewan & Associates, Inc. is currently our value-added reseller for VMWare, and has been our partner for virtualization since The General Fund will be used for this purchase and it is within the planned budget. Alternatives Considered: All of the District s critical server infrastructure relies on VMWare virtual servers and would not be able to function without the support and maintenance this contract provides. Therefore, the alternative of not purchasing the maintenance and support was rejected. HCB/SLG/JRK/cae 10 P age
13 Resolution # Approval of Committee Member, Long-Range Facility Planning Committee, Districtwide Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent of Educational Support Services It is the administration s recommendation that the approve the appointment of Leslie Franklin to a four-year term on the Long-Range Facility Planning Committee. Leslie Franklin is an independent consultant in the marketing/communications field. She has served as a PTCO member in the District for the past ten (10) years and has been involved with the accountability and fundraising subcommittees through that organization. Leslie is looking for new opportunities to offer her time and talents in a Districtwide role. Leslie has children currently enrolled at Cherry Creek High School and Campus Middle School. It is recommended that Ms. Franklin be appointed as a member of the Long-Range Facility Planning Committee as an At- Large member. Alternatives Considered: Policy BDF R-5, Planning Advisor (Long Range Facility Planning), was followed, and therefore, no other alternative plans were considered. HCB/SLG/AAM/DES/cae 11 P age
