Position Summary: The Director of Clinical Training position is a full-time exempt employment opportunity. Reporting to the Dean of Professional Psychology the Director of Clinical Training is a full-time position located in Colorado Springs, CO. The Director of Clinical Training (DCT) will play a central role in all aspects of overseeing students in training at UoR. The DCT is responsible for building a community of learning through collaboration with faculty, staff, students, and other partners. This position includes direct supervision of students enrolled in practicum and internships, including assisting students in obtaining appropriate practicum experiences, predoctoral internships and maintaining communication with all internship and off-site practicum placements.

2 Essential Job Duties: Supervises and assures the quality of the clinical training programs Work to strengthen areas of clinical training deemed necessary through feedback from students, clinical supervisors, staff, and outcome measures Chair Clinical Training Committee Assist students in arranging sites for clinical practicum and pre-doctoral internship Administer and oversee all external practicum and internship placements to include site visits and meetings with training directors (some travel involved) Guide students through APPIC and APA internship applications Work closely with the Director of Rockies Counseling Center on the development of policies and procedures to improve clinical training Keep Director of Rockies Counseling Center informed of any proposed changes to promote consistency in clinical training environment Work with the Director of Rockies Counseling Center on daily evaluation supervision and clinic meetings Serve as liaison to the National Council of Schools of Professional Psychology Play a major role in accreditation efforts: The Higher Learning Commission of NCA and APA Supervise student dissertation projects Serve on faculty committees as needed and assigned Supervise and coordinate the work of the clinical supervisors in the Rockies Counseling Center Direct the Consortium & On-Site Practicum Administration of the supervisors in the clinic Obtain APPIC approval for the consortium Ensure appropriate documentation is present and up-to-date in all student files Core Competencies: Commitment to Mission: Aligns with the Core Values of Integrity, Ethics, and Service through behaviors that demonstrate a positive commitment to the customer and the organization. Minimum Requirements: Ability to lead and effectively participate as a team member Ability to work with diverse student, faculty, staff, and client populations Previous experience in leadership positions, preferably in higher education Clinical experience in the field of psychology Experience in supervising clinical psychologists in training Attention to detail and organizational skills required Preferred Qualifications: ABPP in Clinical Psychology preferred Licensed psychologist in the state of Colorado with 5 years of licensed clinical experience required Education: Graduate of an APA accredited program in clinical psychology, counseling psychology or the equivalent (PsyD, PhD, EdD) Completion of an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship Note: This opportunity of employment will require a completed pre-employment screening to be inclusive of, but not limited to: a criminal background investigation, a credit check investigation, verification of education credentials, verification of prior employment history and a professional reference check; with review prior to an offer of employment being extended.

4 Physical Requirements: Physical Demands: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee requires dexterity in using telephone, computer keyboard, mouse and calculator while seated at a desk. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk and sit. The employee may frequently move to interact with fellow employees and/or clients. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Communication Skills: While performing Duties of the job, the employee is required to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos. The employee requires the ability to write effective and detailed correspondence and to effectively present information both in oneon-one and small group situations. Mental Demands: While performing duties of this job, the employee is required to deal with stress associated with a fast-paced work environment and multiple priorities/tasks. The employee will be required to make judgment decisions and adapt to changing work situations, grasp and apply new ideas, communicate with various personalities at all levels and have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions. Work Environment: While performing duties of this job, the employee is required to work in an office environment, and the noise level is usually quiet to moderate.
