6 PLAZA BUILDING UPGRADES To reinforce Australia Square s high level of services, the following works are being undertaken: Bathrooms The co-owners are working alongside Seidler & Associates Architects to facilitate the refurbishment of all Plaza bathrooms. The bathrooms on level 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 11, 12 and 13 have been completed with the remainder to be progressively upgraded throughout the building. Air conditioning A full mechanical upgrade of the air conditioning plant was completed in December 2012 and includes a new chiller and cooling tower. Tenants can expect consistent, accurate and reliable temperatures and greater energy efficiency which will assist in further reducing the energy consumption of the building. Lifts A full modernisation of the lift mechanics has been completed as part of the co-owners ongoing commitment to providing the highest level of service. Benefits of the upgrade include faster travel times, increased reliability, a smoother ride, improved energy efficiency and enhanced security features. The co-owners, alongside Harry Seidler & Associates, have completed the refurbishment to all lift car interiors. The lift car interiors will have a contemporary finish to complement the Australia Square design and architecture. Shower and bike rack facilities Work/life balance is extremely important and as such we strive to deliver best in class amenities so all of our customers can embrace this culture. The new End of Trip amenities have been designed to a premium specification to provide our customers with a quality, modern and comfortable environment to shower and change after a workout or commute to work. The amenities include secure lockers, showers, hairdryers, towel service, Foxtel TV, ironing stations and mirrors. Additional bike racks have been installed on basement level 3 to accommodate 80 bikes.
