Zimbabwe an Experience Extensive 25 year clinical experience as a Nurse Manager working in major teaching hospitals in Zimbabwe, planning, directing, administering and evaluating patient care, development of professional and non professional staff, orientation, education and supervision of multidisciplinary students as well as continuous evaluation of diploma nursing students, trained staff and non-professional staff. Involvement in planning, supervising, and provision of health care services at national conferences as a member of the Ministry of Health's national health Action standing Committee, Serving as a representative in various departmental committees at the University of Zimbabwe. Coordinated production of 30-minutes documentary on departmental activities as Production Director, May February Coordinating national workshops such as Palliative Care In-Service Training Workshops, Development of Discharge Plan Guidelines, as well as Development of Burns Protocols in April, July and October

USA Experience A total of 10 years experience working in various health care facilities in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. Working at Huron Hospital, A Cleveland clinic Hospital, a 210-bedded Community Hospital as a Palliative Care nurse practitioner and palliative Care Coordinator. Duties involved screening all patients and their families seeking healthcare at Huron Hospital, assign, planning and coordinating delivery of palliative care services as part of the palliative care team. Proving mentorship, palliative care education and carrying out research and publications in palliative care. Working as a PRN nursing supervisor in a 130-bedded nursing skilled facility in Cleveland, Cedar wood Plaza Ohio, USA from Responsible for supervision of 5 charge nurses, registered nurses (RN s) or licensed practical nurses (of LPN s) as well as 12 nurses aids at any one given 8-hour schedule. Standing in for the director of nursing during off hours, evaluating residents if condition changes, communicating changes to the physician as well as to the family and deciding who to send to hospital or not for further management, Communicating with referral hospitals about the transfers. From 2003 to 2005 working at Harry Horvitz Centre, Cleveland Clinic Hospital USA this is a 23- bedded palliative care unit, Cleveland clinic main campus as a bedside nurse, assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care, Delivering palliative chemotherapy and providing psychosocial support to patients and their families. Lastly working at the University Hospitals of Cleveland, USA for three years as an RN in a 30-bedded Medical/Surgical unit with an oncology overflow, assessing, planning implementing and evaluating medical & surgical patients, delivering chemotherapy to oncology patients and proving psychosocial support to patients and their families.
