1 Network Administration and Design Program Syllabus 51 U.S. Route 1, Suite K, Scarborough, ME Total In Class Clock Hours: 850 Assigned Course Preparation Clock Hours: 230 Academic Credits: 42 Prerequisites: High School Diploma or GED Program Description In this program, students learn how to analyze the business requirements and design and implement the infrastructure for business solutions based on the Microsoft Windows platform. Implementation responsibilities include installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network systems. The program also prepares students for many industry-sought certifications including 3 CompTIA exams, and multiple certifications through Microsoft. Program Objectives Provides graduates the range of skills required to effectively analyze business requirements for IT and design and implement the infrastructure for business solutions based on the Microsoft Windows 2003 platform. Prepare for entry-level employment as Computer Repair/Support Technicians, Desktop Support Technicians, Help Desk Technicians, and Networking Support. Network Administrators, and Network Designers. Methods of Instruction *All courses are computer based and instructor lead which consists of: One-on-one Instruction, textbooks and workbooks, scheduled lectures, interactive courseware and content through our LMS (Learning Management System), and measurement testing to reinforce content. Program Outline ITC-MO-01 Course Title: Microsoft Office Basics In Class Clock Hours: 40 Assigned Course Preparation Clock Hours: 10 Introductory course in Microsoft Office utilizing the basic functions of Windows, Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Object linking between Word and Excel and PowerPoint. Designed for the office professional person or others wishing to learn and/or upgrade software skills. No text required. 1
