3 Install Office Sign in to Office 365 with your Office 365 user ID. Go to: portal.office.com Type in your username, Eg. username is your College computer login. Once it redirects you to the Faith portal, type in your password. 2. At the top of the page, go to Settings > Office 365 settings. 3. On the left of the page, choose the Software tab. 4. On the Office page, select a Language, and then choose Install. If it doesn t install correctly contact the College IT Department. andrew.daddow@flcr.qld.edu.au

4 Set up my current Office desktop programs to work with Office 365 for business You can set up your existing Office desktop applications like Word 2010, Outlook 2010, or Outlook 2007 to work with Office 365. Use Office 365 desktop setup to configure your desktop applications and install required updates. Important If you ve installed the latest version of Office, you don t need to perform step 1: Office 365 desktop setup in this article. Your first step is to set up in Outlook Run Office 365 desktop setup 1. Sign in to Office 365 with your Office 365 user ID. Go to: portal.office.com Type in your username, Eg. username@flcr.qld.edu.au, username is your College computer login. Once it redirects you to the Faith portal, type in your password. 2. In the upper-right corner, click Settings > Office 365 Settings. 3. Click Software > Desktop setup. 4. On the Desktop setup page, click Set up.

When you re asked if you want to run the application, click Run, and then follow the instructions. o During setup, you ll sign in again with your user ID. o Office 365 desktop setup checks your system configuration, and you ll see options for configuring your desktop applications. You can also learn more about the updates that the desktop setup installs. If some applications have shaded check boxes, they re not available for you to select, perhaps because your admin hasn t set up your account to use them with Office 365. Or your computer may not have the applications installed. o After you select your desktop applications, click Continue to finish up. 6. When the desktop setup finishes, you may need to restart your computer.

6 Connect your desktop version of Outlook to Office 365 After you have run Office 365 desktop setup, connect the desktop version of Outlook that you re already using to Office 365. You can then access your Office 365 or other Exchange-based using the desktop version of Outlook, like Outlook 2013, Outlook 2010, or by using the web browser version of Outlook, Outlook Web App. You can do this in the setup wizard by simply typing your address and password. Outlook uses a process called Autodiscover to automatically find your settings and set up an Exchange connection to your account. 1. Open Outlook 2010 or Outlook If the Microsoft Outlook Startup wizard appears, on the first page of the wizard, click Next. Then, on the Accounts page, click Next to set up an account. If the Microsoft Outlook Startup wizard doesn't appear, on the Outlook toolbar, click the File tab. Then, just above the Account Settings button, click Add Account. 2. On the Auto Account Setup page, Outlook may automatically fill in the Your Name and Address settings based on how you're logged on to your computer. If the settings are filled in and they're correct, click Next to have Outlook finish setting up your account. If the settings on the Auto Account Setup page aren't filled in or aren't correct, do the following: o If the settings on the Auto Account Setup page aren't filled in, type the correct settings based on the information that was provided to you by the person who manages your o account. If the name in the Your Name box isn't correct, you may need to reset the options on the Auto Account Setup page before you can edit your name. To reset the options, click the option button next to Manually configure server settings or additional server types, and then click the option button next to Account. 3. After you click Next on the Auto Account Setup page, Outlook will search online to find your server settings. You'll be prompted to enter your user name and password during this search. Make sure that you enter your full address (for example, tony@contoso.com) as your user name. If Outlook is able to set up your account, you'll see the following text: Congratulations! Your account is successfully configured and ready to use. Click Finish.

7 Setup on Mac 1. On your imac, start Outlook then click on the menu item Outlook in the top left hand corner. Go to Preferences then Accounts 2. If it exists remove your old Faith Account. 3. Click on the + Button at the bottom left hand corner to add a new Account and then choose Exchange. 4. Enter Your Account Details. a. Addess: YourFaithUserName@flcr.qld.edu.au. b. Authentication Method: User Name and Password. c. User Name: YourFaithUserName@flcr.qld.edu.au. Don t put faith\ in front of the user name d. Password: Use your Faith Account password. e. Make sure the Configure automatically Check box is checked. f. Then click the Add Account Button

8 5. You will be presented with a Redirect Warning. Check the Check Box Always use my response for this server and then click on Allow 6. Once you have successfully created your Account you can change the Account Description to something more meaningful. 7. Your new should be working now.

9 Setup on Windows 1. Open Outlook If the Microsoft Outlook 2013 Startup wizard displays automatically: 1. On the first page of the wizard, click Next. 2. On the Accounts page of the wizard, click Next again to access the Add Account screen. If the Microsoft Outlook 2013 Startup wizard doesn t appear: 1. On the Outlook 2013 toolbar, click the File tab. 2. Above the Account Settings button, click Add Account.

10 2. On the Auto Account Setup page, ensure that Account is selected and then enter the following information: a) In the Your Name field, enter your name as you want it to appear on your s. b) In the Address field, enter your Faith address, eg. c) In the Password field, enter your Faith password. Re-enter the password in the Retype Password field. d) Click Next.

11 3. Wait for Outlook to find your server. This could take a few minutes. 4. Click Finish once Outlook has completed configuring your Office 365 account. Note: The next time you open Outlook, the program may take some time to synchronize your mail folders.

12 Sync OneDrive files to your PC One of the tools available to you, is the 1TB cloud storage and local file sync feature of OneDrive for Business. An advantage of OneDrive for Business is the ability to sync the files in your OneDrive for Business online storage space, with your local computer. This means that changes made to the files on your computer will be reflected in the OneDrive for Business online storage space and vice versa Sync your OneDrive for Business documents to your computer: 1. Using your web browser (eg. Internet Explorer, Google Chrome), in your address bar type: portal.office.com Username = firstinitiallastname@flcr.qld.edu.au, click Sign in, Enter password at the Faith Web login page

13 2. Once signed in, it will take you straight to Outlook ( ) 3. At the top of the page, select OneDrive. 4. This will will take you to your saved files. 5. Click the Sync button above your files. 6. When Sync button is clicked, this screen will show up. Click Sync now. 7. Click Allow or Launch for any and all web browser security prompts.

14 8. Click Sync Now in the Ready to sync your window 9. The files from your OneDrive for Business cloud storage will then be copied to and synced with your local computer. 10. This folder on your local computer is in or C:\users\yourname\OneDrive for Business 11. There will now be a shortcut in your Favorites in Windows File Explorer
