34 EPILEPSY Fellowship trained adult and pediatric epileptologists Epilepsy Management Unit (EMU), a 6-bed inpatient unit specially designed to evaluate, diagnose and treat seizures in patients of all ages. A recent renovation has ensured the most advanced monitoring experience available today, including wireless brainwave recording. Active program, in conjunction with neurosurgery, for the implantation of vagus nerve stimulators in patients with intractable epilepsy EEG at AMC is one of only 77 accredited labs in the U.S. and one of only 3 in New York State. $1.36 million grant from the United States Department of Defense to study braincomputer interface (BCI) technology. ACGME accredited fellowship in clinical neurophysiology Ongoing Phase II and III studies of new medications
