My expertise and general interests span the areas of signal processing, estimation and detection theory for wireless communications. Current research topics focus on dense deployments for green cellular networks, on the development of game-theoretic solutions for interference mitigation in heterogeneous networks and on the fundamental understanding of the impact of mobility in cellular networks. The ultimate goal is then to reach practical and intuitive algorithms for use in 5G communication protocols. The research is conducted at CentraleSupelec in close collaboration with Prof. Romain Couillet. Dense deployments for green cellular networks Fund. org.: FP7 Marie Curie IEF 2013 July June 2015 This project is inspired to the concept of small cell networks a very dense and heterogeneous deployment of operator-installed low-cost and low-power base stations connected via a backhaul infrastructure, endowed with multiple antennas, and equipped with cooperative and cognitive technologies. The objective lies in identifying and posing in the right modeling perspective the theoretical performance of such interference-limited networks and in finding the algorithmic solutions to approach those limits. The research is conducted at the Alcatel-Lucent Chair of Supelec in close collaboration with Prof. Merouane Debbah.
