To work alongside and support the Radiology IT Systems Manager in the maintenance and operational efficiency of WDHB Radiology IT systems, and CR equipment. Provide ongoing support for the Breast Screening Waitemata/Northland PACS & service KEY TASKS EXPECTED OUTCOMES Application Support To support and assist the IT Systems Manager with PACS/RIS systems maintenance and operational efficiency Assists and supports the radiology service to resolve user problems Assists with user training and support Effective communication for end users and within the radiology service is achieved maintained Assists with RIS functionalities and the Waitemata District Health Board -JOB DESCRIPTION - Radiology Computer Systems Page 1

2 KEY TASKS EXPECTED OUTCOMES extraction of information requested through radiology management Assists with digitizer problem solving, liaising with IS and vendors Provides ongoing training in RIS/PACS/CR for Radiology Staff Works collegially with ITC staff Works efficiently and co-operatively within the radiology multi-disciplinary team Ensures that regular routine work is completed in a timely manner Assists with routine system administration activity. Assists the Radiology IT Systems Manager with testing of IT systems, in particular CR & PACS, and help in developing documentation Radiology clerical administrative processes Is conversant with computer systems demonstrating a good understanding and knowledge of the RIS, and PACS Prints hard copy or CD images from PACS, or exports images to off-site PACS following set polices and procedures Imports foreign Imaging from external sources following set policies & procedures Quality Assurance Participates and demonstrates a commitment to continuous quality improvement Assists Radiology IT Systems Manager with the provision of statistical/analytical data information when requested through radiology management. Ensures that quality testing is carried out in specific areas e.g. digitizer testing Assists Radiology IT Systems Manager with development and updating of policy and protocols Assists with planning and implementation of system changes e.g. version upgrades Clinical Responsibilities Clinical responsibilities of an MRT as defined in the applicable position description Learning & Development Plans and ensures own ongoing education training and learning needs are maintained Ensures that he/she maintains annual organizational audit requirements Contributes to teaching and training of staff with respect to radiology information/computer systems.
