3 About Box You can now Copy/Paste the License serial number from the Help > About box We have also added information about the License type in the About box: License serial number Indicates Software License type Online/Offline/Platinum Indicates if you have a VM (Virtual Machine) product

4 About Box For Hardware are licenses The etype eo of key is indicated Example: HASP HL Key, USB For Subscription licenses Indicates the number of days left For Network licenses Network Key is indicated All license data is always displayed in English, whatever the language of the user interface.

5 Subscription Licensing For subscription licenses the Days left warning is now translated. This flashes yellow 45 days before license expiration.

6 Subscription Licensing We have added the possibility to switch off the pop-up warning and flashing yellow notification that is displayed when a license is about to expire (in the last 45 days before expiration).

7 Subscription Licensing When you renew an Online subscription, License Manager will not display the Extend subscription option, as the license is automatically extended once your order is processed. For Offline & Platinum licenses, Extend subscription is displayed, as the extension process is manual.

8 Event Viewer Windows Event Viewer logs messages regarding your TEKLYNX software, for all types of licenses. These license warnings are labelled TkxLicensing and are visible in Application > Source

9 Event Viewer Event ID Severity Event Viewer TkxLicensing message Several types of events are logged in Event Viewer, each with a specific Event ID. The TkxLicensing messages are always displayed in English, whatever the language of the user interface Informational Your license is not valid. Please restart the application Error No license has been found. Please check your license type Error Your license is not valid. Please restart the application Error The trial period is ended Error Your license [SN] is expired Error The system clock has been turned back. Please adjust it to run the application or deactivate/reactivate if necessary Warning The Product uses the Trial mode for evaluation. You have [Number] days left in your evaluation period Warning Your license [SN] will expire in [Number] days! You must order a subscription extension in order to continue using your software after this date Warning Your license [SN] requires a permanent internet connection. Please restore a permanent connection before [Number] days to prevent the software from stopping.

10 Event Viewer This provides: Better visibility of all your subscription licenses, whether standalone or network licenses, on a production line or in a server room Centralized data for subscription renewals, with warnings logged daily in the last 45 days before each license expires Instant feedback on network connectivity issues, license status, end of trial period, etc You can now: Configure / SMS alerts to be sent to relevant departments (such as Production, IT, Purchasing) using a network monitoring tool (third-party software) Simplify subscription management and renewal as all the data you need is available in Event Viewer

11 GS1 Support The GS1 wizard now supports QR Code.

12 Tagged texts management Pre-defined text can be highlighted automatically, with the new feature Tagged texts management accessed via the Tools menu. Available in: LABELVIEW Runtime, Gold & Network

13 Tagged texts Example Allows you to use dynamic styling, for example to highlight allergens on food industry labels. EU food labeling regulations (Reg. 1169/2011) require allergen risks in product ingredients to be printed in italic or bold. A specific font size is also required (under a minimum size, printing should not occur). The new Tagged texts feature makes this easy to achieve.

15 Visual Basic Scripting VBScript feature has been added, for script-based event management VBScript can be inserted at three levels: Document, Objects and Variables Available in: LABELVIEW Runtime, Gold & Network

16 VBScript This offers many new possibilities, such as for example: o automatic print job cancellation when an image file is not found, or text is not legible o using dynamic styling to highlight specific text, based on pre-defined beacons in a variable text, such as: hazardous materials to comply with chemical labeling requirements or allergens to comply with food labeling regulations o and many more

17 VBScript Example 1 Automatically cancel printing when an Image object with a variable data source refers to an image file that is not found.

18 VBScript Example 2 Highlight allergens on food labels, to comply with the latest EU regulations.

19 Importing Label Formats You can now import label formats based on vector formats (DXF, WMF ). Fixed parts of the label can be created in a click (text, image, lines, etc) Only the variables must be created manually This is useful when the template label design is initially created in CAD software.

20 Print Configuration There is now an option to keep the Print window open after a print job. You can create subsequent print jobs without having to reopen it, saving time.

21 Database Manager Database Manager Improvements The column widths are now persisted to avoid resizing. You can now edit the default field values when adding a record.

22 Formulas Formulas have been added to calculate the check digit for VoiceCode (CRC16) and PZN (Pharma-Zentral-Nummer)

23 Network Licenses LABELVIEW knows when you are experiencing a loss of network connectivity and will continue to run for a longer period of time, enabling you to continue efficient label printing.

24 Network Licenses A network license tolerance has been added for Network Clients that cannot reach the Network Manager (disconnected / reboot / maintenance ). This tolerance is: valid only after the client is able to connect to server reset for another usage when the client connects to server When the tolerance period is over the product will stop working.

25 LABEL MATRIX Converter The LABEL MATRIX Converter is now available in LABELVIEW, for upwards label template conversion. Only available in English.

26 LABELVIEW - Form Designer Form Designer is now included (free) with LABELVIEW Gold Network. Until now, this was only available with LABELVIEW Gold desktop.

27 After a Free Trial All products offer a 30-day free trial period. When the trial has expired, the Try option will no longer be visible in the Activation Wizard.

28 After a Free Trial When the trial has expired the No license found message is displayed. You will need a valid serial number to activate the software.
