3 Summer Individual Treatment Services Programs Run June 15th - August 28th Comprehensive Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Program The goal of our comprehensive intensive program is to provide comprehensive 1:1 therapy using the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Each of our ABA programs are managed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), who will provide direct ABA based therapy in order to appropriately provide program supervision and parent coaching. Within the ABA program, the location of services will take place in the settings that best meet the child and family s goals, such as in the home, community or clinic. When therapy occurs at the clinic, the child will benefit from our various treatment rooms (e.g., classroom, motor room, toy town, game room, etc.). Treatment hours vary based on our BCBA s treatment recommendations and to best accommodate the family s needs. ABA Program Supervision An in-home program consultation provides evidence-based training to the in-home therapists, program changes and advances, new program instruction/recommendations and consultation on any specific behaviors. Summer Social & Group Services Groups are billable to your insurance company and subject to enrollment. Let s Play! Let s Play is geared for children with limited or emerging social relationship and social language skills by providing a nurturing environment to develop and enhance their skills with another child (dyad treatment). Let s Play is appropriate for children who are beginning to develop skills to express their thoughts and feelings independently and have had limited success with group activities. Games Galore! The goal of this group is for your child to learn various age appropriate recreational games while engaging with a group of peers. This group aims to teach the fundamental skills for games such as hide-and-go seek, tag, duck-duck-goose and more! This group is led by one of our BCBAs with the support of ABA therapists. 3 Functional Home Skills D velopment The goal of this service is to provide structure and appropriate teaching strategies in order to set your child up for success at home. Various life-skills that can be taught include: grooming, chores, meal time behavior, food preparation, homework, leisure skills, etc. This service includes recommendations for support tools and helping parents with implementation. Camp Shadowing Through this service, KGH staff will provide therapeutic support for your child in a camp or other community setting. Our therapists will attend outings with your child to help implement cues, behavior plans, prompting, etc. Our goal is to help increase general participation through socialization and communication. Close communication with parents and camp counselors is also an area of focus. Let your child discover the fun of summer activities - We can help!! The Incredible Flexible You This group will focus on exploring social skills and feelings through play, literature, music, and drama. Topics include: Thinking Thoughts and Feeling Feelings, The Group Plan, Thinking with Your Eyes, Body in the Group, and Whole Body Listening. Playground Fun! This group is designed to teach playground games, boundaries and increase social interaction while in a playground environment. Learning various age appropriate outdoor games, playing with friends and getting along with peers will be areas of focus. School Prep School prep is designed to teach your child the skills they will need to be successful and independent in the classroom. This group will focus on activities your child will be exposed to in the school setting, such as waiting, sitting appropriately, and turn taking.
4 Treatment Services Comprehensive Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Program The goal of our comprehensive intensive program is to provide comprehensive 1:1 therapy using the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). When therapy occurs at the clinic, the child will benefit from our various treatment rooms (e.g., classroom, motor room, toy town, game room, ect.). Treatment hours vary based on our BCBA s treatment recommendations and to best accommodate the family s needs. Problematic Behavior Support KGH offers experienced Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to provide therapy, consultation and parent support regarding behavior difficulties for all age ranges. Some examples include problems around eating, sleeping, getting dressed, non-compliance, aggression, talking-back, yelling/arguing, etc. The BCBA will utilize evidence-based treatment in order to decrease and eliminate challenging behaviors and replace these behaviors with positive, pro-social behaviors. The BCBA will also provide support and parent coaching to help you gain the skills to tackle your child s challenging behaviors. Social Dyad/Peer Play This services address issues of social awareness, social engagement, as well as playing with another child or multiple children. Areas of focus range from turn taking and interactive play to higher-level social skills such as negotiation, teamwork, and theory of mind. Sibling Support A sibling session addresses appropriate social engagement, play and communication with the child s sibling(s). Functional Home Skills Development The goal of this service is to provide structure and appropriate teaching strategies in order to set your child up for success at home. Various life-skills that can be taught include: daily living (e.g., grooming, chores, meal time behavior, food preparation), homework, leisure skills, etc. This service includes recommendations for supports, creating tools for support recommendations, and helping parents with implementation. 4
5 Family Support Services Parent Coaching Parent coaching includes explanation and training that is relevant to your child in order to help support new skills and developments (e.g., communication, play, etc.) as well as address problematic behaviors. Recommended interventions and short-term goals are given to provide support, feedback, and active coaching for parents. Parents United Support Group Raising a child with special needs does not come with a parenting manual. The goal of this parent and caregiver group is to offer education on important topics, as well as to provide support and collaboration with other parents. Therapeutic Community Outing One of our BCBAs will meet you at a community setting of your choice to provide structure and support to promote socially appropriate behavior while in the community. We can meet you at your favorite restaurant, grocery story, park, family function, etc. Parent Seminars & Workshops KGH periodically offers a variety of seminars and workshops aimed at educating parents and caregivers on important topics. For information on upcoming events, please visit our website. Private workshops or parent trainings for families are available upon request. Sibling Session Many times, siblings of children with developmental differences do not know how to effectively communicate and engage with their brother or sister. A sibling session can help bridge this gap by helping to address appropriate social engagement, play and communication with the child s sibling(s). Furthermore, we also provide assistance to the sibling in order to help them understand interactions with their brother or sister. 5
6 Consultation Services Tackling Challenging Behaviors KGH's experienced Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) provide therapy, consultation and parent support regarding behavior difficulties for all age ranges. Some examples include problems around eating, sleeping, getting dressed, non-compliance, aggression, talking-back, yelling/arguing, etc. The Behavior Analyst will utilize evidence-based treatment in order to decrease and eliminate challenging behaviors and replace with positive, prosocial behaviors. The Behavior Analyst will also provide support and parent coaching to help you gain skills to tackle your child s challenging behaviors. School Collaboration/IEP Suppor KGH Consultation & Treatment, Inc. can observe a child in their current classroom or observe a potential classroom for appropriateness. A report documenting observations and inclusion recommendations helps create appropriate IEP goals and professional recommendations for appropriate placement. ABA Program Supervision An in-home program consultation provides evidence-based training to the in-home therapists, program changes and advances, new program recommendations and consultation on specific behaviors. Toilet Training Program Yes, it can be done!! Our Behavior Consultants and Analysts will teach you successful strategies and tactics to work with you and your child, in your home, to implement a successful toileting program.
