Mike s role includes workforce planning and over $2.7B in annual workforce labor allocation. His work includes workforce management, workforce engagement, workload demand modeling, scheduling, attendance management, new workforce role development and many other workforce change related initiatives. Finding the Balance Between Store Manager and Area Scheduling to Drive the Customer Experience and Ensure Maximum Productivity Dave has over 26 years experience in the retail sector starting his career with Eddie Bauer. Dave joined Rite Aid in 1999 as a Project Manager and progressed through the Rite Aid business and in 2005 attained the role of Director of Labor Control in Retail Operations. Dave was then promoted in 2009 to VP of Financial and Labor Analysis in Retail Operations where he immediately developed a home grown solution and subsequently complemented this solution by introducing Workplace Online. Harnessing the Power of Data with Mike Chester is Vice President, Store Operations for World Kitchen, LLC, a leading manufacturer of well-known brands including CorningWare, Pyrex, Corelle, Revere, EKCO, Baker s Secret, Magnalite, Chicago Cutlery, Visions, Snapware and OLFA, which operates ~90 retail stores under the Corningware, Corelle & more name. Prior to this role, Mike worked at Sears Holdings where he held several field leadership and home office positions most recently working with a team to bring a new retail concept, mygofer.com, to the marketplace. Efficient and Effective: the People Practices of Highperformance Organizations that Deliver for Retail Kevin Martin oversees the Institute for Corporate Productivity s (i4cp s) research operations and is also responsible for developing and executing the company s global marketing strategy. i4cp undertakes 30 human capital related research studies each year with each study focused on revealing the people practices that make high-performance organizations unique and have the greatest influence on market performance.
