3 FOLLOW AUSTRALIA Our Follow Australia package will follow the Socceroos to each host city that Australia is drawn to play at. This exciting package will enable you to see more of Brazil with a group of like-minded passionate Socceroos fans. With a tour of each host city visited, this is a chance to see the beautiful variety of Brazil and soak up the World Cup atmosphere along the way. 4 THE FINAL XI The Final XI will be based in pulsating Rio for the final 11 nights of the tournament. You will be in the beating heart of the Cup revelling and soaking up the carnivale atmosphere with fellow Socceroos fans and locals for a quarter-final and the final. 6 TERMS & CONDITIONS Please carefully read these Booking Conditions as they form the basis for the Event Travel Office accepting all bookings. By making your booking with Event Travel Office, you are automatically accepting the booking conditions detailed below. PROVIDER OF TRAVEL SERVICES All travel services provided as part of the Green & Gold Army on Tour 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil travel packages are provided exclusively by General Travel Group Pty Ltd trading as the Event Travel Office or ground operators based in Brazil. Whilst Green & Gold Army Pty Ltd assists General Travel Group Pty Ltd to develop the Green & Gold Army on Tour travel packages so that Green & Gold Army on Tour packages meet the footballing needs of fans, Green & Gold Army Pty Ltd is not providing any travel services with respect to Green & Gold Army on Tour travel packages. To the extent permitted by law, Green & Gold Army Pty Ltd, its officers, agents and employees are in no way liable to you for any claims you may have regarding Green & Gold Army on Tour travel packages, including with respect to any loss, damage or injury suffered howsoever caused. PAYMENTS SCHEDULE Rio Home Base An initial payment of 2,000 is payable on booking. The payment schedule for remaining payments is as follows: 2,000 payable by Monday 2 December 2013 Balance payable by Monday 10 February 2014 Follow Australia An initial payment of 2,000 is payable on booking. The payment schedule for remaining payments is as follows: 750 payable by Monday 2 December 2013 Balance payable by Monday 10 February 2014 Tour documentation and welcome packs Tour documentation and welcome packs will be posted by registered post at least 2 weeks prior to the commencement of your tour. Please note that a postage and handling fee of 30 will be charged on your final invoice in this regard. METHODS OF PAYMENT All payments must be made in Australian dollars; payment in any other currency will not be accepted. DIRECT DEPOSIT / TELEGRAPHIC TRANSFER: The preferred form of payment is by telegraphic transfer (free of any charges). CREDIT CARD: The Event Travel Office accepts credit card payments, subject to the following fees: Visa, MasterCard 1.5% of total booking value, American Express 3.42% of total booking value. This fee will be added to the amount due as detailed on your tax invoice. CANCELLATION POLICY All payments are non-refundable however it will be possible to substitute passenger names up until sixty (60) days prior to the first date of travel for a nominal fee of AUD100 per name change. COMMENCEMENT OF TOUR We will confirm the commencement date of each tour following the final world cup draw which is scheduled to take place on 6 December PRICES AND PRICE CHANGES Package prices detailed in this and associated documents are based on currency exchange rates effective 19 June They are quoted in Australian Dollars inclusive of all taxes and charges and are GST free unless otherwise indicated. The prices quoted by the Event Travel Office are subject to change without notice in the event of circumstances such as fluctuation in exchange rates, or an increase in government taxes. Any currency fluctuations or increases in Australian or foreign government taxes will be passed on to clients. For the Follow Australia package, a surcharge of 500 will be payable in the event that Australia is drawn to play in Rio de Janeiro or Sao Paulo. GOODS AND SERVICES TAX The vast majority of goods and services offered for sale in this and associated documents, which are provided outside of Australia, are exempt from Australian Goods and Services Tax. However, for goods and services and other items connected with Australia (for example but not limited to, travel packs and merchandise), Goods and Services Tax will apply. This is subject to change at any time should legislation be enacted affecting the current treatment of the Australian Goods and Services Tax upon the goods and services provided. COSTS NOT INCLUDED IN PACKAGE Costs of passports or visas, international and domestic flights, tickets, meals and sightseeing other than those specified in the Tour Inclusions, gratuities/tips (unless stated), excess baggage charges, personal items such as phone calls and insurance are not included in the package costs. PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS & IMAGES Descriptions featured on the GGAOT website and associated websites are based on current information provided by hotels and ground suppliers. Any facilities shown as included are subject to change at any time. The standard of accommodation and other services are based on various factors, which are generally accepted as indicative of a certain class, however, we do not guarantee the standard, class, or fitness for purpose of that accommodation or service. Hotel ratings are those suggested by relevant local authorities or our representative and may vary from Tourist Office ratings. Where applicable, images featured are shown for general information and may not necessarily reflect actual locations or tour inclusions. HOTEL INFORMATION Check-in time at hotels is generally 2:00pm, rooms may not be ready prior to this time for immediate occupancy upon arrival. It is possible to ensure immediate availability by paying the extra day s tariff, booking rooms for the night before arrival. Check-out time at hotels is generally 11:00am. Rooms still occupied after the designated checkout time may incur charges that would be payable directly to the hotel. Follow Australia package hotels will be of at least 4 star rating and will be located within 100km of Australia s group game stadiums. Hotels for the Follow Australia package will be communicated following the final draw which is scheduled to take place on 6 December CHANGES OF HOTELS If for any reason the hotel(s) nominated herein is/are unavailable, an alternative will be sought/offered. If, after confirmation, the hotel becomes unavailable, you will be assigned to a hotel of similar standard. INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS International flights are not included in the travel package. It is your responsibility to arrange international flights to meet the commencement of the tour, as notified to you. We expect that flights to/from Brazil will become available mid-july onward. DOMESTIC FLIGHTS Domestic flights are not included in any travel package. For those booking on the Follow Australia tour, we will secure domestic flights between host cities on your behalf. These will be at an additional cost to you, and this cost will be payable on you confirming that you wish for us to book these flights for you. For those booking on the Rio Home Base tour, we will use all reasonable endeavours to secure same day return domestic flights from Rio de Janeiro to the cities hosting Australia s group games (and round of 16 if applicable). In the event that we are unable to secure same day return airfares, then we will use all reasonable endeavours to secure overnight accommodation in the respective host city. You will be responsible for the cost of this accommodation. If we are unable to secure overnight accommodation for you, then we will use all reasonable endeavours to secure a facility for you to rest, refresh and store your bags. An additional levy may be payable if this is required. No domestic flights are included in the Final 11 tour. TICKETS Tickets to the 2014 FIFA World Cup are not included in any travel package. It is your responsibility to secure tickets, and Event Travel Office does not guarantee that you will be able to secure tickets to any game. More Information Here BOOKING ARRANGEMENTS The person making a booking will be deemed to have accepted these Booking Conditions on behalf of everyone named in the booking. TRAVEL INSURANCE Travel Insurance is strongly recommended to cover you against loss of deposit or final monies paid, because of unavoidable cancellation due to illness or other causes, personal baggage loss, medical expenses etc. For detailed information contact the GGArmy on Tour Hotline (Tel: ) for details. PASSPORT AND VISA REQUIREMENTS For up to date advice on visas required for overseas travel, Australian passport holders should contact the nearest embassy or consulate of the countries they intend to visit well in advance of travel. Australian passport holders are required to obtain a Tourist Visa to visit Brazil for holiday purposes. For further information, we recommend all travellers review the Embassy of Brazil (Canberra) website at: According to international regulations, passports must have at least two blank pages in them when one enters a country, and it should also not have less than 6 months prior to its expiry. Brazilian immigration officials are very particular about enforcing this regulation and will not allow guests to enter the country should their passports be incorrect. Kindly note that passport and visa requirements are not the Event Travel Offices responsibility and the Event Travel Office is not liable for any loss or expense due to a passenger s failure to comply with the above. HEALTH AND IMMIGRATION Participants should familiarise themselves with any health or visa requirement that may be applicable in the areas they intend visiting, and they shall be responsible for all exit, entry, health and other documents required by laws, regulations, orders, demands or requirements of the countries visited or transited. Each person (including infants) requires a valid passport. Passports must have at least 6 months validity from the date of your return to Australia. Please note that Australian customs generally requires you to have been immunised for Yellow Fever in order to re-enter Australia after travelling through Brazil. SAFETY & SECURITY THROUGHOUT For current information and up to date travel advice on Brazil please visit the website of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade You can subscribe via this site to receive updates when there are changes to travel advisories for your destination. It is also recommended that all Australians register with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade via before travelling overseas, this will assist in locating you in the case of an emergency. CONSUMER PROTECTION General Travel Group Pty Ltd, trading as Event Travel Office, holds a Travel Agents License (NSW 2TA / VIC ), is a member of the Travel Compensation Fund ( TCF ) and is a member of the Australian Federation of Travel Agents ( AFTA ). ENTIRE AGREEMENT These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Event Travel Office for the supply of travel services related to the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Any representations made by the Event Travel Office or its employees, officers or agents are expressly excluded from these Terms. LAW OF CONTRACT These Booking Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia and any action arising under them or in any way connected with the travel arrangements may be bought only in a court in Australia, subject to any law which is expressly inconsistent with this. CONDITIONS OF RESPONSIBILITY General Travel Group Pty Ltd and/or their subsidiary and/or associated companies, give notice that all final travel documentation, tickets and coupons issued by them, or on their behalf are supplied as agents, and all arrangements for hotel accommodation, entry tickets, transport and conveyance are supplied upon the express conditions that they are not liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, sickness howsoever caused or occurring to persons or to property.
