Look at all the children who Know Their Prayers! We are almost at 100% and are so proud of the Children, and their parents! Just a reminder: Eucharist preparation begins April 13 th. Please see the information board! The Bishop says, "Hi!" Yes we have class this week. For next week, Sunday, March 30, we will have a showing of "the Passion of the Christ" in the Youth Center from 3PM-5:30PM. The USCCB recommends this movie calling it, "An unflinching dramazaon of the final agonizing hours of the earthly life of Jesus Christ (Jim Caviezel), from the garden of Gethsemane to his crucifixion and resurrecon, intercut with flashbacks to his childhood and public ministry...it is not about what men did to God, but what God endured for humanity." Middle School: yes we have class March 24 and a games day on Lent, the Triduum and Easter for friends and family on March 30. Everyone send in snacks if you can as our cupboards are bare! Please remember to honor Lent by not bringing sweets. Mass Card M.S./H.S Name Date March 23rd Mass Priest His Peace be with you, CCM St. Catherine of Alexandria Homily Topic

7 Want to help transform the lives of our youth? In their own words: The Mission Trip seems to find new ways to keep me close to God every year! Marn Chaney the Mission Trip inspired me to go out and help more people in my own community Jasmine Sekanovich Fun, heart-touching and beyond words Stephanie Sellars Please Support our Mission Trip as we take 41 teens, young adults and parents on a journey to change lives. $800 sponsors 1 teen. $400 supports one chaperone. Can you help? In Need of Healing Prayer? Walk in for Special Healing Prayer on Saturday mornings From 10:00 AM to noon. Room 102. Quesons? Call George: (951) Retreat Theme: The Daughter & Doctor of The Church 2014 is the third year of preparing for the celebration of the 5th centenary of St. Teresa of Avila's birth. Last year, the retreats focused on her life, her map of spiritual development, and a format of prayer that she inspires. This year, we will delve into what she describes as the virtues required to live a life of prayer, namely: humility, detachment from worldly things, and love of neighbor. By describing these virtues, St. Teresa reminds us that our prayer life, on which our entire spiritual life is based, is not merely a conversation with God, but a whole relationship, and one that will affect our entire lives and those around us. Contact Diane for information on how you can help Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Temecula Valley Council #9964 All proceeds dedicated to the spiritual enlightenment to those that attend.

8 "A Journey towards Healing" For those grieving and suffering a loss to violence: Murder & Suicide (A Ten Week Program to help transform this suffering into Hope and Healing) Wednesday Evenings March 26 through June 4, 2014 St. Vincent Ferrer Church Murrieta Road, Sun City, CA The Journey towards Healing consists of 10 weekly directed small group gatherings for those who have been impacted by death through homicide or suicide. Each week integrates and builds upon the reflections and discussions of the previous weeks. Therefore we ask that you to please commit to attend all 10 sessions which are important in the healing process. Early registration is encouraged to allow time for a meeting to help you discern if this group is right for you. If you would like more information or are interested in participating, please contact: Sister Sue Reif, OSF

9 First Reading When the people grumbled to Moses for water in the desert, the Lord heard and brought forth water from the rock for all to drink (Exodus 17:3-7). Psalm If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts (Psalm 95). Second Reading God s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:1-2, 5-8). Gospel Ask, and you will be given living water so that you will never thirst again (John 4:5-42 [5-15, 19b-26, 39a, 40-42]). Monday: 2 Kgs 5:1-15b; Ps 42:2, 3; 43:3, 4; Lk 4:24-30 Tuesday: Is 7:10-14, 8:10; Ps 40:7-11; Heb 10:4-10; Lk 1:26-38 Wednesday: Dt 4:1, 5-9; Ps 147:12-13, 15-16, 19-20; Mt 5:17-19 Thursday: Jer 7:23-28; Ps 95:1-2, 6-9; Lk 11:14-23 Friday: Hos 14:2-10; Ps 81:6c-11ab, 14, 17; Mk 12:28-34 Saturday: Hos 6:1-6; Ps 51:3-4, 18-21ab; Lk 18:9-14 Sunday: 1 Sm 16:1b, 6-7, 10-13a; Ps 23:1-6; Eph 5:8-14; Jn 9:1-41[1, 6-9, 13-17, 34-38] Sunday: Third Sunday of Lent Tuesday: The Annunciaon of the Lord Friday: Absnence Romans 5:8 Especially during the Lent and Easter seasons, we are very conscious of the communal nature of bapsm. We stand witness to the bapsm of adults at the Easter Vigil in many parishes, and countless parishes celebrate fesve bapsms for infants. The rule for celebrang bapsm is that it be only once a day in any parish church, a sign of the Church s desire that bapsm be the work of the gathered community. Private bapsm is therefore a misnomer, since all bapsms, even emergency bapsms for infants in danger of death, are a public act of entrance in to the Body of Christ, the Church. In an emergency, and providing the parents desire it, anyone can bapze by pouring water and saying, I bapze you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. But then aerward the Church is encouraged to supply what is missing: the gathered assembly to proclaim and hear God s word, the promises, the naming, the anoinngs, the clothing with a white garment, the candle, the Lord s Prayer, and the solemn blessing of the parents at the altar. Wonderfully, this ritual oen provides the opportunity for great rejoicing at the recovery of an infant who had been in danger.
