1 Dear Parents Year 6 Challenge Week Residential Trip We are currently in the process of organising the following exciting trip: Trip: Chiang Mai - Exploring Life in the North Dates: November 2015 Provider: Traidhos Three-Generation Barge Program, Chiang Mai 6 October 2015 We offer this valuable and compulsory experience to enable students to have practical experience of life in a hill-tribe, as they develop their environmental, social and, of course English Language skills. The trip is organised and run by the well known and successful Traidhos Three-Generation Barge Program, which provides high-quality, educational activity programs for Thai and international schools in Thailand ( All activities follow strict health and safety guidelines, and Traidhos Three-Generation Barge Program takes full responsibility for the health and safety of all activities. Please contact them directly via if you have any questions relating to their safety measures. The students will be supervised and accompanied by Mr Mark Lloyd, the trip leader, and two additional members of school staff, Miss Gemma Gwilliam and Miss Aim. There will also be trip coordinators from Traidhos Three-Generation Barge Program, who will be present for the duration of our stay. Accommodation will be provided at Traidhos Campus, with a night in a Karen Village, and all meals and snacks will be provided, along with any field equipment required. The students will travel by plane from Don Muang Airport to Chiang Mai and will be escorted to the main Traidhos Campus in vans. They will return to Don Muang Airport on Friday 20 November at 4.30pm. To assist our detailed planning and to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip, we would like you to complete and return the attached consent forms by Monday 12th October The cost of the trip is included in the school fees, so no charges apply. Can we please ask that, before going on the trip, you purchase for your child a burgundy Bromsgrove International School polo shirt from the school shop. Students will be asked to wear these at various times on the trip for identification and health and safety reasons. An outline itinerary is included with this letter.
