Pandemic Background Infectious disease causes over 33% of all the deaths in the world, according to the World Heath Organization (WHO). Leading physicians and public health officials and organizations from around the world are saying get ready - a pandemic is coming. Recorded history has shown that pandemics have occurred three times per century and indications are that these occurrences will be more frequent in the future. Medical experts are estimating that approximately 35% of the population will be affected by the flu and approximately 17% will require medical care with the mortality rate somewhere between 0.5% 2%. Since the mid 1990 s, health officials have been closely monitoring the H5N1 (Avian Flu). A new virus, H1N1 has appeared and spread quickly since late April It has gained strength and the first wave has rapidly spread around the world and created a pandemic. While this first wave has seemed somewhat mild, in most cases the current belief is that the second wave will return with a greater virulence and have a much greater impact on our businesses, communities and families. Regardless of the disease, this program has been focused on the topic of infectious disease outbreaks and while there are many references to H5N1 and H1N1 the program is applicable to any infectious disease outbreak. In addition to the obvious infection control preparedness plan, our program will provide an all hazards approach to Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and take an organization to within approximately 60% of a completed, overall Business Continuity Plan. A pandemic will be the grand-daddy of disasters because it will last for one and a half years. Vaccines will not likely be available and if available, they will be either ineffective or in extremely short supply. Businesses and Governments must prepare to mitigate, not only pandemic risk, but infectious disease in general. For organizations wishing to minimize the impact of a pandemic or infectious disease outbreak, it will be critical for them to build and test their pandemic plan, train their employees and acquire stockpiles of personal protective equipment and antiviral medications. They must safeguard their employees and continue to provide services to their customers. Everywhere people and organizations are being told to get ready, and yet no one is providing useful tools to enable them to easily plan and prepare. Pandemic 101 was created to do just that! The Solution Pandemic 101 2

AMI Business Resilience Inc., through the Pandemic 101 program offers a complete end-to-end pandemic solution. Our team of subject matter experts has built a world class program to ensure completeness, simplicity and speed of usability. We operationalize your readiness. We offer: The Pandemic News Network - PNN to provide daily news alerts to educate and notify customers of world events that may impact their life. The Family Program was developed to help protect our families by providing necessary protective products and to educate them on how to provide medical care to loved ones. The Corporate Program provides a complete end-to-end solution for organizations to enable them to prepare. Medical Consulting Team Pandemic 101 has assembled a leading medical advisory team that will provide leadership, support and direction regarding the issues of medical policy, antiviral medications and infection prevention and control. Dr. James Young - Former Ontario Chief Coroner and Commissioner of Public Safety, most notably recognized for spearheading the response to SARS in Toronto in Dr. Ron St. John - Former Director General of the Public Health Agency of Canada. 3

About Pandemic 101 The Pandemic News Network PNN With so much news, it is difficult to sort out all the relevant information. Pandemic 101 has developed the Pandemic News Network (PNN) which gathers and sorts all the leading news regarding pandemic and infectious disease issues from news agencies and web sites globally and updates the information in real time every 30 minutes. Click on to access the information on our website. The Family Program This program was designed to give individuals and their families access to a complete infectious disease kits. The family kit includes: A Family Preparedness Guide to teach families how to prepare and care for their loved ones. A twenty-five minute DVD offers information on preparedness and instruction on the use of the various personal protective products found in the kit. A six week supply of protective product includes gloves, masks and sanitizers. An Antiviral Voucher that provides access to antiviral medications is part of a antiviral strategy. The family program provides organizations a source to direct employees and their families to help ensure they are prepared for an infectious disease outbreak. Material is available in seven languages. 4

The Corporate Program This program was developed to give organizations the tools needed to create a complete infectious disease control program. The program includes: Pandemic 101 Gap Analysis This program helps clients identify gaps in their Pandemic Response Plans and ensure that they are on the best possible road to building the most effective, automated and actionable response. Pandemic Planning Toolkits Our proprietary toolkits provide the client with a finished plan that simply needs to be populated and customized with their information. Toolkits are available for business in either a template version or customized expanded version. We also have a small business toolkit for organizations with less than fifty people. The finished pandemic plans include business planning, infection prevention and control, medical directives, HR & communications. The plan roll-up ensures that client plans drive time sensitive, actionable responses with unprecedented ease. This planning template is designed to lead the user through the various phases of a pandemic providing the how to react with the required actionable business unit responses. Table Top Exercises 5

The purpose of a "Table Top Exercise is to assess the adequacy of processes attached to your plan, policies, procedures, training, resources, relationships and agreements that guide the prevention or response, to a crisis or series of crises. The Table Top Exercise is in part of the Certificate of Completion. We offer both a facilitated and a self-directed exercise. Online Staff Training - Infection Prevention and Control Managing fear in a pandemic will be critical. Normal levels of attendance at work cannot be expected if staff, do not believe that their company is managing the crisis with a high level of effective measures that ensures workplace safety. Educated responses are a must and can only be achieved with proactive employee training to mitigate the unnecessary fear. Our Learning Management System provides complete support and tracking, to easily monitor the progress of your employee training. The educational material is available in seven languages including English, French and Spanish. Certificate of Completion To demonstrate your company s preparedness, Pandemic 101 will issue your organization a Certificate of Completion. The criteria to receive a Certificate of Completion are: 1. You must train 70% of your staff using the online program 2. You must test the plan using our Table Top Exercise. This certificate may now be used for validation of your preparedness and be sent to clients and included in RFP proposals for proof of preparedness. Personal Protective Equipment 6

Our Pandemic 101 product calculator is used to determine the equipment requirements of employees based on their individual level of risk. This tool greatly assists organizations in determining their needs for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). These products will reduce the exposure and limit the ability of the virus to spread. Antiviral Medication Strategy To complete our corporate offering and provide an end-to-end solution, Pandemic 101 provides a complete medically directed program which includes medical directives, procurement process, medicine dispensing of pharmaceuticals and administration of an antiviral program including Tamiflu and Relenza. Our program is international in scope. Reducing Absenteeism from Seasonal Flu and the Common Cold Regardless of a pandemic, a proper infectious disease program will reduce absenteeism due to common colds and seasonal flu. The savings in lost sick time alone, will more than pay for this entire program in its first year. The true business case for this program is that it will actually put money on the bottom line in the first year. Toolkit Descriptions 7

P101 Business Toolkit - Enterprise Edition - $14, This Premium toolkit offers the same processes and components as the P101 Business Toolkit - Standard Edition, but provides a much greater degree of customization and capacity to suit the unique needs of larger National and International organizations. 10 Pandemic 101 offers three methods of implementing the Pandemic 101 program: A. You may choose to implement the Pandemic program by using your own in-house staff to build your plan and program using the toolkits training and exercises. B. You may engage the Pandemic 101 consulting team of AMI Business Resilience Inc. If your decision is an in-house initiative, members of your organization will attend our training session so that they may build your program with greater efficiency and certainty. Certified Pandemic Planner Program Through AMI Business Resilience Inc., consulting partners bring a tremendous amount of experience to the pandemic 101 program. Most of our people migrated from the larger professional services firms including Ernst & Young, IBM, Deloitte, KPMG, CGI, etc., and have provided expertise to many Fortune 1000 companies, both domestically and internationally. Most have experience in the related areas of risk management, BCP, Disaster Recovery and business process planning. Only certified consultants (either in-house or strategic partners) may use or have access to the toolkits, material and subject matter experts within the Pandemic 101 program. The one day course includes: Infection Prevention and Control Personal Protective Equipment and Antiviral medications Gap Analysis Planning matrix (using the Pandemic 101 Toolkit) Table Top Exercise Online training Certificate of Completion We support certified planners when working on their first pandemic plan. Clients developing the program in-house can certify staff to use the toolkit and prepare the pandemic program with greater savings and efficiency. Corporate Program Implementation Road Map 9
