2 I CAMERA OVERVIEW (cont) X IMPORTANT INFORMATION IRAIM / SETUP / AUTO IR AIM - When IR Aim is ON and Pir Sensor detects motion, red LED on front of camera will intermittently flash and n shut off. Setup position selects camera setup main screen, while in this screen pressing select button will take you to different categories of setup ( time, date, clear, and camera ID number). ON / OFF Used to turn camera on and off and wake up camera from sleep. Select, Enter, Up/Down Buttons The SELECT button scrolls through options. The ENTER button selects item to be changed and lock in set value. The UP and DOWN buttons are used to change values of options. Battery Compartment The camera is powered by 4 C-cell alkaline batteries, be sure to align batteries in way depicted on engraved battery diagrams inside battery compartment. This will ensure proper polarity. Note: only use alkaline batteries, use of any or type battery may damage camera. Important Battery lnformation - Only use alkaline batteries. We recommend use of Duracell or Energizer batteries. - Do not mix old and new batteries. Always replace ALL batteries at same time. - When camera is not in use, please remove batteries. Moultrie Limited Warranty This product has been thoroughly tested and inspected before shipment. It is guaranteed from defects in material and workmanship from date of purchase for 1 year. Under this limited guarantee we agree to replace or repair free of charge any part or parts which have been found to be defective in original material or workmanship. Should you require in-warranty service, call our Customer Service Department. If your problem cannot be addressed over telephone, we may need you to send us your defective product plus proof of purchase. SD Card Slot Accepts up to a 32GB SD card for photo and video storage. TE: An SD Card must be installed for camera to operate (sold separately). USB PORT Download still pictures and video onto your computer by connecting a USB cable (sold separately) to USB port. EXTERNAL POWER PORT Accepts Moultrie PowerPanel or Moultrie Battery Box accessories (sold separately) only. Refer to for more information. VIII CAMERA SPECIFICATIONS Memory & Storage Your camera supports external SD memory cards ONLY and will accept up to a 32GB card. Using large memory cards can slow camera response. The camera cannot capture any photo or video without external memory. Please insert an SD memory card to operate camera. Estimates are based on most common types of memory cards that can be purchased at electronic stores, office supply stores, or online. Estimates may vary based on camera settings or environmental conditions. Important Always turn unit off when inserting or removing an SD memory card to avoid damage and ensure that camera properly updates memory information. 5 VII CAPTURE MODES IV CAMERA SETUP (cont) Photo Mode To operate camera in Photo mode, slide Resolution button to HI or LO position. Slide Mode switch to AUTO position. The LCD display will count down for 10 seconds. After LCD goes off, camera is ready for capturing photos. Aiming Camera After camera has been mounted, open cover and slide Mode Switch to IR Aim. Close cover. Stand in front of camera. The Status LED will flash red when it detects movement. Use this process to guide your camera to cover desired target area. Video Mode To operate camera in Video mode, slide Resolution button to VID position. Slide Mode switch to AUTO position. The LCD display will count down for 10 seconds. After LCD goes off, camera is ready for capturing video. (10 second video clips at 30 frames per second). V MOULTRIE ACCESSORIES Using a Deluxe Tree Mount The camera can also be mounted directly to a tree using a bracket that attaches directly to a tree or pole. Using Moultrie Camera Power Panel Place near tree where camera is mounted. Place for best exposure to sun. To attach to a tripod secure power panel to tripod angled upward for best exposure. Plug power panel to Power Panel Plug. This will extend life of your camera in field. Note: Leave internal batteries in camera during use. The Camera Power Panel needs 4 hours of sunlight to fully power camera. Using Moultrie Battery Box Extend field life of your Moultrie camera with a long-lasting, rechargeable external power source. Place near tree where camera is mounted. Plug Battery Box to Power Panel Plug. This will extend life of your camera in field. Page 8 Page 5
6 VI SETUP AND PROGRAMMING Navigating Different Settings During Setup mode, you can program camera for different settings. The Enter button will start programming process when selection flashes. The Up/Down buttons will move from one value to next. The Enter button will n lock in any selections. Then press Select button again to move to next setting. Turning Power ON/OFF Open camera cover. Turn Mode switch to Setup position. Press and hold On/Off button until time appears on LCD display. If you want to turn unit off, press On/Off button once, LCD shows OFF and n goes off. Note: If re is no activity for 2 minutes camera will shut off automatically to save battery life. Setting Time and Date While camera is in Setup mode, LCD display will show time. Press Enter button and selection will flash. Use UP/Down buttons to change selection. Press Enter button to lock in selection. Press Select button to move to next selection. Repeat process to set year, month and day. Setting Camera ID Press Select button to select an identity for your camera. Choose between nine different numbers (1-9) so locations can be marked on info strip (i.e. camera 3) will be marked on info strip given 3 was selected. After selections have been made, press Select button and LCD will display time again. Setting Time Delay To set time delay, slide Delay switch to desired time. There are 4 time delay settings, 1 min, 5 mins, 10 mins and 30 mins. Setting Image Quality Slide Resolution switch to desired setting. Choose one of 3 settings. High: 2560 x 1920 or Low: 640 x 480 for still images. Choose VID for video setting. Sleep Mode After all your settings have been made, slide Mode switch to Auto and close cover. Note: If re is no activity within 2 minutes, camera will enter sleep mode to conserve battery life. The camera will n power up and become active when motion is detected. Reset Picture Count After camera s time and date have been set, you can reset picture count on camera. Press Select button until Clr shows in LCD display. Press Enter button and use Up/Down buttons to choose between Yes or No. Yes will reset file number to start from Page 6 Page 7
