2 Clients - Use your existing software We support both POP and IMAP for incoming and therefore we support any client that recognizes these protocols. If you're unfamiliar with what the difference is between POP and IMAP, then please look at the next subsection where we'll explain this. Some of the more popular clients we support are Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail (Vista), Thunderbird, Mac Mail, Entourage and Eudora. The difference between POP and IMAP The difference between POP and IMAP is where your s and mail folders are stored. With POP3, you essentially download your s from our servers, take them off our server and then put them into your own local mail folders on your computer. They are not left on LeFey Mail. With IMAP, your s and mail folders are kept on our servers, so when you access your account via IMAP, you'll be looking at your s remotely. The advantage with POP3 is that you don't have to be online to check your s. Some businesses would also rather keep their data on their local computers, so POP3 is a better option. With IMAP, your s are stored on our servers and therefore allow you to easily access your s from any Internet connection worldwide. Your s will also be backed up regularly and be stored on high-quality servers, making it reliable and efficient. The downside to IMAP is that you will need more disk space with us (although 1GB will in most cases be ample) than with POP3 and you'll always need to be connected to the Internet to retrieve any of your s. Webmail Our webmail client is one of our slickest features. You'll find it very easy to use because we've based it around how clients work. It's the perfect companion to keep up to date with all of your important communication data. One of the other useful features of our webmail client is AJAX technology. This essentially allows parts of a page to be refreshed without having to reload the whole page again. The result is a large increase in speed and when combined with a few other technologies, we can offer functionality like drag 'n drop and right click menus. Minimize spam and viruses Our spam settings are very customizable, with various options include: * Control what happens to spam of different likelihood. For example, delete anything automatically that is marked as "Very likely to be spam", but place anything that is "Hard to tell" in my spam folder. * Automatically delete virus infected s. * Control your own blacklists and whitelists. * Use Verification Response where unknown senders are asked to verify that they are a real person. * Automatic whitelisting of people on your address books.

3 Mobile PDA on the go is important for keeping in touch and LeFey Mail has you covered in a variety of ways: * For those people with IMAP access on their phones, then checking your is very simple. * For those who support POP3, you can opt to leave a copy of s on the server so that you can retrieve them from your normal working computer when you're back on it, but still see your s when on your mobile. * If you only have been issued an address from your cell phone provider (such as with older Blackberry's), then you can create a mail rule in LeFey Mail to forward copies of new messages on to your mobile device. * LeFey Mail also supports the SyncML protocol and therefore can sync your calendars, contacts, tasks, notes and journal between your LeFey Mail account and mobile device. We also have sync software available for Blackberry users. LeFey Mail finally has a mobile webmail interface. While this interface is still being developed, it can be useful for those who would prefer to use a browser from their phone. Desktop Notification Client Notification Client The LeFey Mail desktop notification client is the best way to receive alerts delivered to your desktop when new mail arrives in one of your folders. This utility not only alerts you of new but also alerts for appointments, task events, and other alerts sent from users in your group or on your friends list. During setup of this utility you can choose from one, a few, or all of your folders in which you wish to be notified of new . Additional features will be forthcoming. Large Attachments Up to 50MBs in attachment size (including any encryption). Receive your existing Most people these days have more than one mailbox. With LeFey Mail, you can consolidate them all into one account. It's easy to setup too. Just enter the various details of the server that you are pulling from and we'll then check for new s to those accounts and deliver them to your LeFey Mail mailbox. You can then reply to these s as if you were sending from that account by using our Web Identities utility. We can also pull from some common sources, including Hotmail, MSN, Yahoo!, AOL, Earthlink, Mindspring, Juno and virtually any POP3 or IMAP server.

4 Organization & Groupware Calendar Calendar lets you keep track of your appointments and events when you're on the move. We support recurring events and also ical, so your calendar can be viewed from any ical supporting software. Using webmail, you can share your calendar(s) with other people within your group. Our reminder feature lets you add an address that will be notified whenever an appointment is looming. And using our sync tool, with one click you can update your calendar in Outlook and online. Contacts Keep track of all your contacts online. Other features include : * Auto-complete from your address book when composing s. * Have multiple contacts folders, so you can organize by category (e.g. Business, Family, Friends, etc.) * Contact update campaigns - all of your contacts and ask them to verify that their contact information is up to date. * LDAP support so you can use your contacts from within your client. * Import and Export contacts. * Automatically add people you reply to into your address book. * Automatically whitelist people you , so that they are never accidentally marked as spam. All mailboxes on LeFey Mail come with unlimited aliases, including catch-all and partial catch-all support. Mail Rules Mail rules are an important part of your LeFey Mail account, because they let you control how your is handled. Using our mail rules over client mail rule options (such as Outlook's mail rules) is advantageous because your rules will apply no matter how you access your (e.g. Webmail, your standard environment, at home, etc.) Forwarders Our forwarding feature allows you to easily send on to other people within your LeFey Mail group, or on to an external account. Autoresponders Our auto responder feature lets you send an automatic response to an receive to a certain address, or to all s arriving to your mailbox. Other Features File Storage Your account comes with a file storage utility that will let you: * Connect via FTP to upload or download from your account. * Attach files from online storage into an . * Save attachments into file storage so that they can be easily downloaded or attached in to a future . This feature allows you to stay in touch with other members of your organization or any LeFey Mail member. In addition, LeFey Mail's instant messaging tool connects to the Jabber network of instant messaging servers allowing you to communicate to anyone using a client on the Jabber network. 6 Easy Administration All of our accounts come with an easy to use administration account that will let you add, modify or delete existing mailboxes, as well as control certain groupware features, such as global mail rules and whitelists/blacklists. Because your account comes with shared storage space, you'll be able to allocate a disk space limit to each mailbox, rather than being confined to a limit on each account. Data Backup LeFey Hosting knows that your data is important. That's why we keep multiple backups of your account. At present, we keep two main copies of your data: * One live copy of your data running on a separate server to your primary. This backup is automatically switched to in the event that there is a problem on your primary server, such as hardware failure. * An additional full monthly backup with weekly incrementals. Periodic backups are important because in the event of data loss, it's likely that our secondary live copy with also reflect the loss.
