1 Want to tackle your college applications this summer? Join Us For A Breakaway Bootcamp! Work with our college counseling team to complete your applications months ahead of deadlines.
2 Our Bootcamp Breakaway Bootcamps include: Small group and one-on-one instruction A completed Common Application - each step from creating your account to finishing every question Strongest presentation of extracurricular activities and construction of a personal activity sheet Multiple primary essay drafts written and edited Individual advice about college list and strategy for early action, early decision, etc. Strategy and timeline to complete remaining application requirements Take-home binder for parents with all materials and student notes Breakaway Bootcamps are available as morning or afternoon sessions and run for four days each week during the month of August. Don t want the full bootcamp? Check out our workshops, tailored to individual application components. Prefer to work on your own? Set up One-on-one Counseling. Call or Amanda at amandar@breakawayprep.com.
3 Our workshops ESSAY JUMPSTART The college essay: an important, dreaded part of the college application process. We take a unique approach to the main college essay that brings out the stories highlighting each student s personality and voice. This two-part workshop has successfully guided hundreds of our students through the process. This is included in our week-long bootcamp. 6hrs workshop PLUS editing RESUMÉ College applications have an interesting way of asking for students extracurricular activity information. We ll help kids prepare for the format of the applications AND create a resumé that highlights their strengths in a format that makes it easy for admissions eyes to read. This is included in our week-long bootcamp. 3hrs INTERVIEWS College interviews vary in terms of structure (alumni, admissions office, current student) and style. We ll help students prepare for whatever they might encounter. Students will prepare answers for common questions and prepare for the non-verbal aspects that are important to college interviews. This is included in our week-long bootcamp. 3hrs COMMON APPLICATION The Common App is available on August 1st. We will again offer fall workshops to guide students through each question on the Common App. This is included in our week-long bootcamp. 3hrs SUPPLEMENTAL ESSAYS Supplemental Essays are officially available beginning August 1st. Each college to which a student applies may have one or more essay questions in addition to the main college essay. This workshop builds upon the main essay workshop. 3hrs DROP-IN APPLICATION HELP Have some questions about your application components? Prefer to work at the office rather than alone at home? Think of this as open office hours where you can take advantage of our admissions expertise. These sessions will be offered throughout the fall. Check the website in September for the schedule.
