8 VENUR PROJECT: Objective In response to these technological challenges, TECNIUM has identified another opportunity in the renewable energy sector, in particular with regards to vertical axis small wind turbines (VAWT). Therefore, the MAIN OBJECTIVE of the VENUR project is to acquire scientific and technological knowledge to develop new technologies and tools for the design and manufacture of micro-wind turbines for electricity production in urban and peripheral environments. With this project TECNIUM develops a new highly technical product, expanding its product portfolio and, above all, it opens new and very promising markets. This company begins a new phase which is a major industrial challenge with scientific, technological and market very strong bases. TECNIUM Fundació CTM Centre Tecnològic

10 VENUR PROJECT: Economical aspects The overall budget for the project is ,7 EUR, for an execution period of 1 year. The expected NPV is EUR, and the PAY-BACK period is 4,22 years. With the EEA Grant, the NPV can be of EUR, and the PAY-BACK period, of 1,8 years, considering a national market share of 0.083% and an international market share of % by 2020.
