1 MANAGING YOUR MGE ONLINE ACCOUNT ON CUSTOMER CONNECTION ( F O R M E R LY M Y A C C O U N T ) Quick Reference Guide - Updated Sept 21, 2015

2 WELCOME TO CUSTOMER CONNECTION Customer Connection is a new online account management tool. Here, you can sign up for notifications, password-protect your bill, sign up for automatic payments, and more. There are two ways you can access Customer Connection on the MGE homepage: 2

3 LOGGING INTO CUSTOMER CONNECTION Click here if you are an MGE online account holder, logging in for the first time Need your password reset? Send us your name, address and username here. If you don t have an online account with MGE, you will have to create a new user profile. You ll need your username and old MGE account number to login for the first time to Customer Connection (you will have a new account number on your upcoming bills). If you don t know your user name or account number, send an to with your first/last name, address on file and username. 3

4 LOGGING INTO CUSTOMER CONNECTION On the Customer Connection Website login screen, there are 2 tabs one for First Time MGE Online Customers and one for Customer Connection. If you re an MGE online customer logging in for the first time, choose the tab on the right that says First Time Login for MGE Online Customers. You will enter your User Name ( address) and your old account number. 4

5 RESETTING YOUR PASSWORD Now, you can reset your password and security questions. LOGGED IN: JOHNDOE1 JohnDoe1 Once you save this information, you re ready to create your new user profile. 5

6 CREATING A NEW USER PROFILE If you didn t have an online profile for My Account, go to the Customer Connection site and select Create a New Login. LOGGED IN: JOHNDOE1 All MGE customers have the same contact information for customer service as you had before. You do not need to call Laclede customer service. 6

7 CREATING A NEW USER PROFILE You are required to enter a First Name and Last Name into the form. Your address is required if you plan to enroll in e-billing in order for you to receive notifications. Please provide a valid address, so we may reach you with important updates about your account. This is required for e-bill customers. Now, you can choose a User Name. If the User Name you d like is already in use, then you will be prompted to select a new User Name. User name must be at least 4 characters and can include symbols 7

8 CHANGING PASSWORD AND SECURITY SETTINGS Next, you can change your password. Both password fields must match for your new password to validate. For your security, passwords 1. Must be at least 6 characters 2. Are case-sensitive; must contain at least one uppercase and one lower-case letter 3. Must have at least 1 number 4. Must include one of the following symbols:!, #, $, _ Next, change your security questions. Each question must be different. Answers must be at least 4 characters long. 8

9 FINAL USER AGREEMENT The final step in setting up your new Customer Connection account is accepting the user agreement. Once you ve read and accepted the agreement, click Create New User. 9

10 SECURITY FEATURES Once your information is validated, Customer Connection presents a secure, updated Manage Account Access page with the previously entered data and a drop down box that contains your account ID types. LOGGED IN: JOHNDOE1 Doe, John, Residential, $100.00, Click here to select your identification information If the information is accepted, you will be transferred to the Account Overview page. 10
