2 CONCLUSIONS Systematic reviews and meta-analyses have shown that DOACS compared with VKAs: in patients with AF, reduced the absolute risk of stroke and of major bleeding in patients with VTE, had a similar risk of recurrence, with a lower risk for bleeding There is a need for further studies There is a need for real world data 2
