The training will take place on 20th April 2015 in Rostock-Warnemünde, Germany. Practical information related to organisational and technical issues is attached to the AGENDA. 5 Trainers and experts PhD Eng. Stefan Jankowski, Assistent Professor Marine Traffic Engineering Institute at Maritime University of Szczecin, Poland. Employed in MUS since 1996 after obtaining Master of Science degree. Since 1991 till now has been periodically employed as a deck officer and a chief mate by following owners Polsteam, Hamburg Sued, Euroafrica. In 2007 defended PhD thesis entitled The probabilistic model of propeller streams impact at a bottom, in aspect of safety mooring of a vessel. He is an author and a coauthor about 30 articles, publication and 3 books which concern design of waterways, ports, terminals and berths in aspect of navigational safety. Participated as a PhD, Engineer, researcher and senior researcher, in over 50 scientific jobs in the field of marine traffic engineering, safety of transportation and navigation. Conducts lectures and exercises of Navigation devices and technical navigation, marine information systems, Radar systems. Habilitate Dr., Prof., D.S. Captain Vytautas Paulauskas NPPE Klaipeda Shipping Research Centre, Lithuania. Education: In 1974 finishing Maritime Academy in Kaliningrad, degree Master marine. After finishing Maritime Academy work as mate and Captain on cargo ships, tankers and refer ships. In 1979 defended PhD in St.-Petersburg Maritime Academy on item Ships maneuvering possibilities. In 1993 defended Habilitate Dr. dissertation in Vilnius Technical University in Transport Technology work in Lithuania Transport Ministry (Director of Waterborne Transport Department). Since 1993 work in Klaipeda University, Head of Shipping Department, professor. During years period - more than 200 publications, including 26 monographs and books for students, more than 100 scientific projects in logistics, intermodal transport, shipping, shipping and navigation safety, port management, environmental, transport technology, LNG fields, lecture and coordinator on more than 30 international seminars on Port Management, Transport Technology, Transport logistics, Shipping and navigational safety. Since 2006 represent Lithuania in EU WATERBORNE Technology platform, EU Transport Adviser group member (since 2007). Dr. Lawrence Henesey, Assistent Professor Computer Science Blekinge Institute of Technology, Karlshamn, Sweden Dr. Henesey researches on the application of techniques from Distributed Artificial Intelligence in Container Ports and Terminals at Blekinge Institute of Technology, which has culminated into 50+ published articles and two books. In addition to lecturing at several US and European Universities, Dr. Henesey is a member of the board of advisors at the Port Operations Research and Technology Centre at Imperial College London. Dr. Henesey possesses 26 years of industrial work experience in the following fields: Banking, Consulting, Education, Logistics, Research, Sales, Shipping and Terminals. Dr. Henesey assists in the development of solutions for energy and data transmission needs in ports and container terminals globally. Dr. Henesey has worked with clients on employing automation and electrification technologies such as AGVs, ASCs, Automated cranes, RTGs and RMGs Dr. Henesey earned his PhD in Computer Science from Blekinge Institute of Technology at Karlshamn, Sweden. Additional degrees are: MSc (Cum-Laude) in Transport and Maritime Management from the University of Antwerp, Belgium and degrees from Old Dominion University, Virginia, USA 4
