4 EnRICH (Research Innovations & Challenges) Webinars A series of webinars that feature special topics related to Maternal and Child Health (MCH) research. Preparing a Successful Manuscript March 9, This webinar provided insights into key elements and organization in preparing a successful manuscript for publication. It considered both quantitative and qualitative data. Preparing a Successful Research Grant Application June 6, In this webinar, two leading researchers in the maternal and child health (MCH) field presented on the critical elements for preparing a successful research grant application. Latent Variable Analysis in MCH Research: A Practical Application of Structural Equation Modeling and Latent Growth Models September 13, This webinar described practical application of structural equation modeling and latent growth models in maternal and child health research. Longitudinal Data Analysis: An Overview of Mixed Models and Generalized Estimating Equations December 5, This interactive webinar highlighted statistical methods used for longitudinal data. Specifically, the session described the method of generalized estimating equations (GEE) that are often used to analyze longitudinal and other correlated response data.

5 Measurement Selection and Development for Maternal and Child Health Research February 20, This webinar focused on the following two objectives: (1) to determine best practices for the selection of measurement instruments in maternal and child health research, and (2) to understand methods for measure development in maternal and child health research. Cluster Analysis April 23, This webinar focused on latent class cluster analyses (LCCA). LCCA is a model based cluster analysis method used to identify subtypes of related cases (latent classes) from categorical, ordinal, and continuous multivariate data. Podcasts Youth with developmental disabilities transitioning into adulthood March 16, Interview highlights with Dr. Penny Hauser-Cram. The Early Intervention Collaborative Study (EICS) is a longitudinal study of 150 children with developmental disabilities and their families from the time of Early Intervention services to age 23. Dr. Penny Hauser-Cram speaks about critical transition issues from the youth, parent, sibling and overall family perspectives.

6 Mothers and Babies: Preventing the Onset of Postpartum Depression among Low-Income Latina Populations July 10, Interview highlights with Dr. Huynh-Nhu Mimi Lee, about her R40 grant. The Mothers and Babies Program focused on prevention both mood regulating skills and cognitive behavioral strategies. Dr. Lee speaks about the intervention, care groups, and collection of rich data that resulted in 13 peer reviewed publications as well as various presentations at regional, national and international conferences. Research Network Videocast Pregnancy Related Care Research Network October 13, Dr. Jay Schulkin, the Director of Research at the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG), discussed the Collaborative Ambulatory Research Network (CARN). CARN is a pregnancy-related care research network (PRCRN) with over 20 years of research efforts dedicated to assessing and improving provider practice patterns, determining the educational needs of health care providers to women, and focusing on addressing health care disparities and the needs of underserved populations. Autism Intervention Research Network on Physical Health (AIR-P) The purpose of the Autism Intervention Research Network on Physical Health (AIR-P) is to establish and maintain a network infrastructure from which to conduct research on evidence-based practices for interventions to improve the physical health and wellbeing of children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. Key efforts of the AIR-P Network include research activities, tool and guideline development, mentoring of new investigators, and quality improvement work related to children and youth with ASD and other developmental disabilities.
