2 RECOMMENDATION Staff respectfully requests that the Council approve an Amendment to the Agreement with OnX USA, LLC to renew Managed Services for the GWP AMI (Automated Meter Infrastructure) Managed Services 24X7 support and provide 24X7 support for City Linux/Solaris Servers. 3) Motion to authorize the City Manager to execute Amendments 24 to the agreement with Onx USA, LLC (Agilysys Technology Solutions Group, LLC prior to August 1, 2011) for $566,670 to provide AMI Managed Services 24X7support through June 30, 2013 and; 4) Motion to authorize the City Manager to execute Amendments 24 to the agreement with Onx USA, LLC (Agilysys Technology Solutions Group, LLC prior to August 1, 201 1) for $62,400 to provide 24X7 Linux/Solaris support for 39 City servers through June 30, SUMMARY The City of Glendale entered into an agreement with OnX USA, LLC (Agilysys Technology Solutions Group, LLC prior to August 1, 2011) on December 29, 2009 to provide professional services to supply, install, and configure a Storage Area Network (SAN) and Backup capability for AMI. Council approved Managed Services support for AMI as Amendment 9 to Onx (then Agilysis) on September 7, 2010 for a period of two years with the option to renew Managed Services Support for two additional 1 year periods. This is a continuation of those same services through June 30, June 30th was chosen to align subsequent renewals to the City's fiscal boundary date. FISCAL IMPACT Funds ($566,670) were budgeted and are available in the GWP Contractual Services Account ( UE004) for continuation of the AMI Maintenance and Operations support through June 30, Funds ($62,400) are available in the ISO Infrastructure Contractual Services Account for the Linux/ Solaris 24X7 Support. No additional appropriations are requested. 3 BACKGROUND The City of Glendale entered into an agreement with Onx USA, LLC (Agilysys Technology Solutions Group, LLC prior to August 1, 2011) on December 29, 2009 to provide professional services to supply, install, and configure a Storage Area Network (SAN) and Backup capability for AMI. Council approved Managed Services support for AMI as Amendment 9 to Onx (then Agilysis) on September 7, 2010 for a period of two years with the option to renew Managed Services Support for two additional 1 year periods. This is a continuation of those same services through June 30, June 30th was chosen to align subsequent renewals to the City's fiscal boundary date. Some of the services are provided through a subcontractor of Onx, namely Lumen21. Staff has found over the past two years that the services of both firms have met expectations. 5 Staff recommends retaining maintenance with Onx, USA, Inc. for several reasons: 1) Onx Currently Provides this Managed Services - Onx has done a good job of keeping these systems in good working order 24X7. The City relies upon these systems for critical and enterprise systems. 2) Onx is Known Quantity - OnX has provided, and is currently providing these services for the AMI Project and has done so since project inception. 3) Onx Knows City Systems- OnX has worked with the City since December 2009, knows the City network, systems and staff. They installed City systems at both the primary data center in City of Glendale and in the City of Burbank and have access to those facilities.
