The services available may vary, or be difficult to determine. The same may be true for the options and quality expectations of a service, and for the method of requesting the service. The result is often a multitude of calls to a service desk and valuable analyst time spent on reacting to user concerns to address even basic questions, such as the status of a request. In addition, reporting across the various services in the context of the user needs is often disjointed and difficult.
