14 US - Russia Data Exchange Ongoing since early 1970s Surface-based, upper-air, satellite, terrestrial, and maritime data are exchanged. Contributes valuable data coverage to primary global climate datasets (e.g., GHCN) used by IPCC, CLIVAR, IGBP et al. Collaborative research activities have advanced scientific understanding of global climate change. 14
