Creative minds, creating change The Business School has teamed up with the Big Issue, Australia's longest standing and most successful social enterprise, in a unique inter-university social enterprise competition - The Big Idea. Apply your business skills and creative thinking to develop a social enterprise idea that has the ability to change the lives of thousands of homeless and disadvantaged Australians. Registrations are now open and will close on the 12 th of June. All students across the University are welcome to take part! Globe sends you out with teams of Aussies into a rural village to build a sustainable social business that improves the lives of the local community. The USYD Business School offers grants and academic credit for the program through BUSS2503 (Community Placement), which means you can knock off a subject during your uni break! 5 EXTERNAL NEWS, EVENTS & ACTIVITIES 2016 BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL PRACTICUM IN JAKARTA ACICIS Study Indonesia is now receiving applications for our six-week Business Professional Practicum (BPP) commencing 2 January Students may apply for this program by downloading an application package from the ACICIS website ( The First Round application deadline for the 2016 Business Professional Practicum is Wednesday, 1 July The Second Round application deadline will be Thursday, 1 October 2015, subject to available places. Sydney Talent is now inviting bright and enthusiastic final year students to apply for our 2016 Graduate Program that sits within The University of Sydney s Financial Services Department. Financial Services provides a structured three-year graduate program within a professional financial services environment. The program includes comprehensive on the job training and covers financial and management accounting, financial control and treasury including elective options in other finance departments. The program involves three rotations over 3 years and you will have full support of a mentor. Graduates will enjoy a market competitive salary with continued career development opportunities. Our graduate program provides the training, education and support to ensure your continued personal and professional development and success.
