Dear Colleague Update: SVQs Business and Administration levels 1-4 I hope you find the following information useful in supporting you in the delivery of the awards. Incremental change You will be aware that the 2005 standards have recently been amended to reflect incremental change. These amendments to standards encompass slight changes to unit content and there is a new unit title for two units, one at level 2 and one at level 3, although there is no change of unit code. In addition there is a change to the optional structure at Level 3. The frameworks for levels 1, 2 and 4 remain unchanged. Centres with candidates registered and undertaking the current units and award structures for levels 1, 2 and 4 may continue with these units and frameworks until they are completed. However, after 1 August 2007, new candidate registrations should be made only for the latest incrementally changed units and frameworks.

2 Level 3 changes to optional structure There is a slight change to the optional structure at Level 3. Three units have been removed from Group B and placed in Group A. Consequently a new framework has been constructed. Implementation of the new framework for level 3 will begin on 3 September However, centres with candidates registered and undertaking the current units and award structure may continue with these units and current framework until they are completed. A further update letter will be sent prior to implementation advising you of the new Group Award code.
