3 Victoria University's (Australia) Master of Business (Enterprise Resource Planning Systems) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is an enterprisewide information system designed to coordinate all the resources, information, and activities needed to complete business processes such as order fulfillment or billing. Data and information are maintained in a single database, which is used for a variety of business functions such as Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Financials, Projects, Human Resources and Customer Relationship Management, covering every industry section and function. The Master of Business (ERP Systems) program is designed to focus on the issues related to the implementation and management of ERP Systems. The program aims to provide a course of study that will: - Enable students to make critical assessments in using and implementing ERP Systems - Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of students so that they can contribute at a high level to the creation and adoption of a systematic, professional and quality approach to ERP Systems. - Provide professionals already working in the ERP industry with the skills and knowledge they need to maximize contribution to their organizations Program Structure The Master of Business (ERP Systems) consists of 16 units. 4 Program Synopsis Core Units BCO6653 Management of Information technology The aim of the unit of study is to impart knowledge and develop competencies in the management of information technology. The major topics are drawn from: a framework for the management of information technology, the strategic use of information technology, information technology planning, business continuity planning/disaster recovery planning, information technology architectures, change management and IT, investment in IT and risk management, network usage policies, organization of IT, global aspects of IT management, ecommerce and IT management. BCO6656 Information Technology Project Management This unit aims to give Information Systems and Management students an appreciation of the importance of a thorough understanding of contemporary project management techniques, both technical and human. It concentrates on both the management of IT projects and the use of computer software in the management of these and other projects. It also aims to show how knowledge of the appropriate application of such skills is becoming vital to Information Systems professionals and managers in the performance of their many functions in an organization. BAO6714 Computerized Accounting in an ERP Systems (SAP FI) The aims of this unit of study are to demonstrate the use of integrated information systems in medium to large size organizations and to demonstrate how these systems facilitate the production of accounting information. Students with sound theoretical knowledge of the use of ERP systems, in conjunction with competency in the practical use an ERP system to facilitate financial and management accounting. Topics include: overview of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, general ledger, financial reporting and management reporting in an ERP system; hardware/software acquisition alternatives; control in an ERP information system, and accounting evaluation of an ERP implementation. BMO6506 Work and Organisation Systems This unit of study examines the major organizational system issues that managers need to understand and respond to in the context of significant changes in the world. These issues are considered in terms of the interaction between people and the organizational context within which they work. The unit of study emphasizes two approaches. First, to gain knowledge and understanding of human behavior and organizational systems/structures through applied learning opportunities and, in the process, learn how to be a more effective leader and manager. Fundamental concepts about organizations, individuals and groups in relation to leadership and management are themes included. Second, because reflective practice is at the heart of critical thinking, students will be asked to take a critical approach to their practice, and the context in which they work BCO6672 The information Systems Professional This unit of study examines the major organizational system issues that managers need to understand and respond to in the context of significant changes in the world. BMO6630 Business Research Methods To be successful organizations not only need to base their business decisions on evidence but also know how to collect and analyze this evidence in a cost effective manner. Business analysts, managers and other professionals engaged in managerial and supervisory tasks are required to conduct research projects, or to supervise staff undertaking programs under their direction and to evaluate research proposals and research work completed by contracted professionals. To fulfil these responsibilities and to become evidence based practitioners managers must possess knowledge of a range of research methods and techniques and be competent in their application. BMO6603 Enterprise Resource Planning Systems This unit of study investigates the use of integrated computerbased information systems, commonly referred to as Enterprise Resource Planning systems, designed to support a large organisation's information needs. This unit considers issues associated with the analysis, design and implementation of such systems and investigates how such systems implement transaction processing, management information systems and executive information systems across an organisation's various business processes. BCO5501 Business Process Engineering The unit of study is concerned with the strategic and organisational issues of process management and the use of Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERPs) to realise efficient processes. Designing and implementing efficient business processes can provide important strategic advantages for businesses. This unit of study will describe the major strategic approaches' used to understand, analyse and implement efficient business processes. Workflow modelling techniques, process modelling techniques and procedure models will be presented and practiced. SAP R/3, as an example of Enterprise Application Software, will be used to examine the issues that students are likely to encounter in identifying, reorganising and implementing processes in a typical business organisation. BCO6604 Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM ) The subject will examine different aspects of the way that a firm can practice CRM with content potentially drawn from topics that deal with marketing and planning, campaign management, e- marketing, lead management, analytics, customer segmentation, service order support and customer processing. Both theoretical and practice content will underpin the subject with student learning being based on using a combination of computer-based exercises, case studies and industry speakers. BMO6624 Organization Change Management This unit of study aims to enhance students' knowledge and understanding of organisational design, organisational change processes and organisational development and change; and to advance students' skills and competencies in the diagnostic processes for assessing the need for change and the development, implementation, and evaluation of change

5 strategies at all organisational levels. The themes covered will include: An introduction to organisational development and change and different types and philosophies of change; managing change in the contexts of organisational culture, politics, gender and leadership; managing incremental change and the development of intervention change strategies at all organisational levels; the organisational change agent and the diagnostic process; managing discontinuous change; learning environments, systems thinking and change in organisations. BCO5651 Enterprise Resource Planning Systems Implementation The aims of this unit of study are to provide students with an understanding of the basic methodologies, techniques and tools that are used in the implementation Enterprise Resource Planning Systems using SAP R/3 as an example. It also addresses the issues that need to be considered for successful implementation. Topics include: ASAP Project life cycle, Implementation strategies, ChangeManagement, Data conversion, Implementation Testing, Implementing project reporting. BCO5647 Application Programming Techniques (SAP ABAP) The aim of the unit of study is to extend the knowledge of introductory programming techniques; provide students with practical experience in programming with an emphasis on commercial applications with a business oriented language; introduce students to data structures. Topics include: key features of the programming language in use; structured tools and techniques; data manipulation; report generation; file structures; interactive processing. BMO5565 Human Resource Information Systems (SAP HR) This unit of study aims to investigate factors associated with the analysis, design and implementation of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS's). The unit of study covers issues in needs analysis, user requirements, system selection and practical use of HRIS software that students are likely to encounter in a typical business organisation. It also includes a study of the change management issues associated with HRIS implementation and the development of HRIS's for strategic purposes. BGP 7730 Business Research Project Elective Units BCO6676 Business Intelligence System (SAP BI) The unit of study will utilise a data warehouse system to enable students to develop the skills for the design and implementation of business intelligence systems. The content will include: Conceptual modelling techniques, data extraction techniques, data transformation, info cube design, query and report design, performance considerations, security and authorisations, data warehouse management. BCO6181 ERP Applications Mode of Delivery The Master of Business in ERP Systems program provides students with an integrated learning methodology conducted in both Full-time and Part-time schedules (12 months) in a conducive and well-equipped classroom environment. Lessons are inclusive of lectures, classroom tutorials and case studies. The program is 100% delivered in Singapore and conducted by Victoria University lecturers and Council of Private Education (CPE), Singapore approved lecturers. Students will gain 24/7 access to Victoria University's SAP servers from Australia using the latest training version of SAP ERP. Entry Criteria Candidates who has the following: - Bachelor Degree or Post graduate certificate in Business, IT, IS - Students with Diploma and 3 years of relevant experience must complete Graduate Diploma before signing this course.. Students will get credit for Graduate Diploma modules at this BMES course. Students has to do 8+8 units - Candidate must have IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL equivalent or candidate who has been taught at the undergraduate level with English as medium of instruction. Edutrust Requirements Fee Protection Scheme Lithan Hall Academy has attained Edutrust 4-years Certification. Lithan Hall Academy provides Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) for its students. The FPS provides indemnification of tuition fees in the event of insolvency of and/or regulatory closure or upon failure of the education center to pay penalties or return fees to students arising from judgments made against it by Singapore courts. Medical Insurance It is compulsory for all students to be covered by medical insurance. Medical insurance can be provided by Lithan Hall Academy. Students may also have their own medical insurance plan as long as it meets the minimum features/ coverage stipulated by the CPE.
