3 Domain name information If you registered your domain through AT&T Website Solutions then your domain name will automatically be configured to use our nameservers and also set up to automatically renew every year. It can take up to 24 hours for DNS to propagate and be available on the Internet. If your domain name was pre-registered elsewhere, you will need to log in where you purchased your domain name to change the nameservers to the following: 1st nameserver: ns1.att-websites.com 2nd nameserver: ns2.att-websites.com In order to use your existing domain without performing a registrar transfer you need to add it to your account and change the nameservers. The following document will provide a guide in how to achieve this. Adding your existing domain to your account You can add your domain either through the shopping cart when you sign up for a new account or through the control panel shop section if you already have an account with us. If you already have an account please follow these steps: 1. Log into the Control Panel and go to the Shop section. 2. Under the Shop section select Domains section. The following page will display: 3. Select the Transfer your Domain link. 4. Enter the name of your existing domain in the field provided and click Transfer. The following page will display: 3

4 5. Confirm that the domain entered is owned by you, you wish to transfer it (this is not a registrar transfer) and click on Confirm and add to cart button. Note: you will not be charged for adding your existing domain to the shopping cart however this process is needed in order to make this domain available under your account. You will only be able to see it under your account once all the settings have been configured properly. 6. The domain will be added to your cart. 7. Proceed through the checkout process. Once the checkout process is finalized contact your domain registrar as described in the subsequent steps. 8. Contact your domain registrar and have your domain DNS (domain nameserver) point to our assigned nameserver addresses which are sent along in our welcome . Please contact our support team should you need information about your DNS information. The nameservers that you need to communicate to your current registrar are as follows: 1st nameserver: ns1.att-websites.com 2nd nameserver: ns2.att-websites.com 9. It will take about hours for your domain registrar to update their DNS (the amount of actual time varies by registrar). Once it's updated, your domain name will point to your new website that is hosted on our platform. From this point on you will be able to log into the control panel and use your existing domain with your other products. If you currently don t have an account with ATT you will need to sign up a new account via the shopping cart on the ATT website as follows: 1. Click on domain. The following page will display: 4

5 2. Click on Use an existing domain link. The following page will display: 3. Enter your domain name and click transfer. The following page will display: 4. 7 Where to find Help/Instructions AT&T Website Solutions includes a number of applications and tools that you can use on your website. Help/Instructions on how to use each of these features are located in the top right of your control panel. For specific help for each application together with instructions, select the application you want in the control panel and click the help button in the top right corner.
