1 Over twenty years of marketing experience has taught me that only change is immutable. The true test of success is the ability to apply experience to an ever-changing landscape. Marketing is the application of many disciplines: advertising, promotion, POP. public relations and even merchandising and logistics. In today's environment that means understanding how to use both old and new media to deliver a comprehensive and potent message. Measuring and targeting have made the Internet a very precise media platform, but alone its power is only partially tapped. Simply building a web site does not necessarily mean, "they will come." Today s marketing professionals live in an exciting and complex time that demands we follow our creative instincts, yet gives us an infinitely measurable toolset. I have spent the last nine years immersed in Internet engineering, sales and promotion; working with a variety of clients to help them get noticed both on and off the web. I ve weathered the dot-com collapse and have emerged with a rare mix of marketable skills. The projects I manage illustrate an extensive hands-on ability across all media---from print production to current web tools, and the experience to integrate them into effective hybrid campaigns. 2 OBJECTIVE Experience in traditional retail advertising, marketing and production management as well as seven years new media experience have created a unique, in-demand set of skills for today s retail marketing environment. I am actively seeking a position that allows me to implement and fine-tune creative thinking and innovative delivery methods for a variety of high-profile marketing tasks. My strengths include proven sales and product management skills; a profit-oriented approach; creative problem-solving abilities and a focus on collaborative project management. My years in retail advertising helped develop a respect for deadlines that has carried forward to everything I do.
