2 INTRODUCTION Infonova s concept-to-cash R6 platform is specifically designed to support traditional and new business models on a single platform. It delivers partnering orchestration, monetization & automated revenue sharing allocation of products & services for multiple suppliers & partners. R6 enables providers and enterprises to partner together and define terms of trade. This allows them to transact with confidence because money due to each party is automatically allocated when customers buy products and services. Leveraging an end-to-end JavaEE virtualized API architecture, R6 enables multiple tenant operators to configure, bundle and price their own product & service portfolios including cloud (IaaS, PaaS & SaaS), broadband IP, VoIP, IPTV, PSTN, mobile with other third party services, e.g. media, insurance, device distribution, content, water, gas and power - for their target markets. This multi-tenancy enables a CSP to lower the entry hurdle for new business models but also allows to consolidate its current businesses on a single platform. R6 provides operators with a platform that can cope with the dramatically changing value chains of heavily converging industries and that significantly increases their operational efficiency at the same time.

5 PRODUCTS CUSTOMERS ORDERS BILLING FINANCE Platform and Business provides the primary operating entity with the power to create new tenants - GUI driven. The platform also enables the primary operating entity to price and sell all or a subset of the services and capabilities already connected to the platform to each tenant on a differentiated or same basis. And in turn, the tenants can then repackage and re-price the services and offer them directly to their customers or through channels. SALES CHANNEL MANAGEMENT Sales channels represent enormous opportunities for companies, but management of multiple sales channels has historically been burdened with inefficiencies. With R6 Sales Channel operators and tenants are empowered to manage their channel partners in a more professional and cost effective way. Channels can be created, managed and administrated through the whole revenue cycle, from offer to invoicing and payments. Sales Channel enables to keep partners up to date by offering unique products as well as keeping track of channel partner s orders. PARTNER/SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT Partner/Supplier provides the primary operating entity with the capability to deal with service providers and their services in a contractual way. It contains the processes to acquire and manage raw services as well as other goods. The service type and specifications captured in this module provide the information for service packages that can be sold and resold in the form of product offers within a wholesale and retail business relationship. 5

6 PRODUCT OVERVIEW PRODUCTS CUSTOMERS ORDERS BILLING FINANCE PRODUCT & SERVICE CATALOG MANAGEMENT For services providers it s a major challenge to manage bundles, products and services from creation through to retirement. With Product & Service Catalog (PSCM) this process can be handled easily. Infonova s R6 PSCM enables bundling and pricing of legacy and next generation services in consolidated catalogs that are tightly-integrated into the billing process. R6 PSCM uses a bill of materials approach to configure and price products from a catalog of services and features. Each product is configured with a tariff for usage, and can be further modified with more complex billing rules (e.g. discounts) and business rules to be applied when ordered (e.g. mandatory 2 year contract, direct debit only). R6 PSCM is a convergent application offering numerous advantages. Product information can be centralized and synchronized across all OSS applications. Users are able to configure complex service and product offerings, e.g. bundles with caps and all types of event charging as well as attributes for supplier and partner revenue allocation. Large portfolios with multiple products can be easily and simultaneously managed by a single product manager. R6 Customer Self is based on leading-edge principles for design and process workflow. Customers are able to manage their accounts, view their online invoices and order new products. Account and service details can be displayed and access to personal and broadcast information can be achieved directly. Customer satisfaction is increased with access to information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. CASE MANAGEMENT Case tools are essential for the smooth running of companies. R6 Case allows the logging of problems, allocating them to operators and tracking the progress. It covers interactions with customers including enquiries, support requests, disputes and complaints. PRODUCT & SERVICE INVENTORY MANAGEMENT R6 Product and Service Inventory offers a consolidated customer inventory giving the accurate view needed to deliver next-generation customer services and providing a superior customer experience. It enables the purchase and configuration of customized product offers by or on behalf of the customer and maintains an inventory of the customer s service accounts and services as well as customized offers. The R6 Product and Service Inventory triggers the order process for the purchase and subsequent modification of customized offers and services. It provides references to underlying resources and creates logical links between market offerings and network information, thereby giving an end-to-end view of customer-toservice-to-resource relations. Associated with the customer s account, the R6 Product and Service Inventory is delivering a comprehensive and integrated view of the customer. 7

Once a customer has decided to purchase a new service, R6 Order does the rest. Customers and sales representatives can place orders for products and features, and retrieve the status of the placed orders through to completion. R6 Order processes the order from its initial entry through the provisioning and activation of services (including devices), activation of billing, and notification to the customer (e.g. welcome pack). The fully workflow controlled order process performs product decomposition, provides the capability to conduct pre-order checks like address-, credit- and fraud-checks, reports status and service levels, and provides exception handling capabilities as needed. SERVICE & RESOURCE FULFILLMENT Service providers all face the same challenges in achieving fast, reliable and accountable service provisioning. Tasks such as adding new users, updating directory entries, and enabling or activating new services must be sequenced and coordinated in the correct manner. R6 Service & Resource Fulfillment addresses the service provider s need to manage delivery and activation of end-user and enterprise services efficiently. It has been deployed across a range of services including next generation networks, internet services, IPTV, content and applications. R6 Billing Data Mediation supports the full range of IP-based services such as VPNs, VoIP, internet, content and applications, as well as traditional fixed and mobile voice services. It collects data from different billing feeds and transforms it to the systems internal unified data record (UDR) format. R6 Convergent Charging & Rating is a high performance convergent rating and charging engine that rates events in near-real time and also can process pre-rated real-time records to provide rating and charging capabilities for offline as well as online services. It also takes the pre-processed records from Mediation and applies rates and tariff information from the offer/product configuration to UDR data. R6 Bill Calculation/Invoicing produces aggregated invoices itemizing all details in readable formats and publishes them online for easy customer access. R6 Bill Formatting takes the results from Rating and Invoicing and generates the data for the invoice of all billing accounts. It collects and summarizes charges on account, service and call detail level. 9

COLLECTION MANAGEMENT R6 Collection covers all relevant processes including treatment and dunning, collections to the point of write-offs and closing accounts. Outstanding debts are automatically identified and if the customer has an overdue balance the account is managed in a collections handling process. R6 Collection includes all processes affiliated to accounts receivable with the possibility to trigger various actions over a time period. This allows various treatment actions like sending automated late payment notifications and barring, including termination of services if needed depending on the overdue balance, the number of days in the current collections status, the customer type and the credit risk group (i.e. credit score). 10
