1 Minors Accounting 15 Hours ACC 2223 Principles of Managerial Accounting ACC 3343 Intermediate Accounting I ACC 3353 Intermediate Accounting II 3 hours from any ACC elective Addictions Counseling 18 Hours COU 2223 Addictive Behavior and Recovery COU 2283 Introduction to Counseling and Social Work Practice I COU 2513 Counseling Methods in Chemical Dependency and Other Addictions COU 2523 Professional, Ethical and Special Issues for the Addictions Professional COU 2533 Pharmacology of Addiction PSY 3443 Crisis Intervention and Management *Since 2-3 of the courses listed above are part of the major requirement for human service degrees (i.e. Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, and Human Services), students with those majors must take an additional 6-9 hours in electives to complete degree requirements of 127 hours. **The State requires these 6 courses plus a 300 hour practicum in an approved substance abuse treatment facility for the LCDC. This practicum may be taken in place of your regular practicum with the approval from your department. ***As legislated, a student must complete these 6 courses related to chemical dependency counseling prior to enrolling in the practicum class in order to receive credit toward LCDC practicum hours.
